    Default Schiff's new hard money bank

    Looks neat. No Americans allowed, though.

    [h=Peter Schiff Opens Hard-Money Bank]3[/h]

    You can open accounts in dollars or gold bullion at the new Euro Pacific Bank Ltd, launched by Peter Schiff. this is an awesome idea

    You can even get a “gold debit card” that you can use anywhere in the world. It’s backed by actual gold, which converts to whatever currency you’re needing at the time you visit an ATM.

    There's one catch if you are an American: you can’t open an account at this bank if you’re a U.S. citizen.

    U.S. security laws have become so intrusive, burdensome, and expensive to comply with, that it made it difficult for Schiff to offer the services in the U.S. So, Schiff opened his bank offshore, in St. Vincents and the Grenadines. It operates outside the jurisdiction of U.S. security regulations, and does not accept accounts from American citizens or residents.

    Debit card backed by gold is a great idea. Surprised another bank has not copied this. It would certainly be troublesome reporting taxes though.

    Aaaand I've lost all interest:

    Q - Where is the gold stored?

    A - Through a relationship with the Perth Mint in Australia your gold will be stored in an unallocated account.

    This would not be your gold bullion savings. This is for your daily living I think

    SO glad Schiff is doing this, and SO glad (strategically) that he cut U.S. Citizens out of the picture for legal reasons.

    Get the success of it established FIRST, with ZERO SAY by the US Government. Global demand takes over from there, and the powers that be here end up looking like the fucking complicit idiots that they are. Talk about a way to yank the power rug out from under them.

    agree. schiff is a (profit-seeking) hero. but you can bet they'll use what's in their power to sabotage it.
