This thread is to compile VERIFIABLE facts people believe to be the true state of convention activity.

MUCH OF THIS MAY BE RELEVANT TO THE LAWSUIT THE Ron Paul supporter just filed in Louisiana -- I would love that to show a pattern and practice, heck, RICO may apply.

This was initially started to give more facts for the LFRP lawsuit but we are continuing collection for other purposes, potential other lawsuits, exposes, etc. Please keep your comments ONLY to what happened, who can verify it, and, if you were an eye witness, if what is posted is or is not accurate. Post actual evidence as well, if you have it, briefly saying how it fits in. Also, those willing to sign affidavits to the facts should identify to which part of the facts they are willing to attest. TRUE IDENTITIES of affiants should be restricted to pms.

I will clean up and add more to this first post later but Torchbearer did say it was accurate, and he was there and would sign an affidavit or testify if needed. Key document links will be collected and added to the bottom of this post.

The issue is, the complaint needs to present a plausible claim of a violation of law with specificity. Who, what, when, where, how, and why. Apparently the complaint states the basics, but does not go into enough detail of exactly what happened to whom, and when, and where, and all that. This is why the defense is asking for it to be thrown out.

Gilbert nailed him to the wall on the issue of "plausibility" especially when it came to the Mass. delegation, and that one was mentioned in the amended complaint too, and the judge seemed to agree.

Basically, it needs to be re-written with more specifics included in the actual complaint.

Who what when where and how (can't possibly need why)

Private security (off duty police) in Louisiana State GOP convention at the specific bidding of Villiers, the self appointed temporarty chair of the convention manhandled the rightful rules chair duly elected the night before by the majority of the rules committee to force him from his elected office at the convention, breaking his fingers in the process. This even though during the process the self appointed temporary chair was removed from his seat by a majority of the state convention. Thereafter, at the bidding of Villiers, other private security manhandled Herford, the newly elected chair of the convention, knocking him to the floor and injuring his newly implanted prosthetic hip, requiring that he be removed from the convention by ambulence, and preventing him from contiuing with his duly elected position at the state convetion, requiring the election of a new chair.

Gilbert is FREE TO USE THAT in the complaint.

New requirements by RNC of Maine Ron Paul delegates - even though state rules say delegates there are not bound.

A little over a week ago, 20 of those 21 delegates were told that their credentials were being challenged by Mr. Peter Cianchette (who headed the Romney campaign in Maine).

The grounds for the challenge; that 20 of these 21 delegates were illegally elected to represent Maine.

As a result, the RNC planned to not seat the entire Maine delegation at the RNC in Tampa.

Now, here is where it gets really interesting.

This weekend, the RNC, via Maine Republican Party Chairman Charlie Webster offered a "compromise"... take a look:

1. A majority of the delegates sign a statement agreeing that, if Ron Paul is not on the ballot, they will vote at the Convention for Mitt Romney.

2. Instead of Brent Tweed, Charlie Webster or Paul LePage would serve as the spokesperson for the delegation and announce the votes cast for president. That spokesperson would also handle all media on behalf of the Maine delegation.

3. There will be nothing negative said about Mitt Romney or positive said about Obama (especially to media).

4. The Delegation will be admitted to the Convention, and to all committee assignments, without barrier.

5. The Contest brought by Jan Staples and Peter Cianchette will be withdrawn.

Tonight at 10:00 PM, Reality Check is going to break down all the details of this as well as two unrelated efforts to block Gov. Romney from receiving the Republican nomination.

thanks, we may end up drafting an affidavit and sending it to Gilbert supporting this, for him to work with. He has been fed a bunch of loose internet noise on some of the actions in some states, and it shows in his complaint.

I was there as a delegate and also serving as a Sergeant at Arms, there were a total of maybe 5 people in the entire convention sporting Romney gear and never at any point during the entire Convention did I hear anyone chanting Romney's name. There were about 10-12,000 people there and the Ron Paul chants were pretty loud. Besides, Romney is obviously a liberal to a Republican Texan. Like I said, out of 10-12,000 people there were probably 5 sporting Romney gear... and they usually were ostracized by everyone else. Never at any time was Romney good to talk about at the convention. The State Chair pretty much refused to say the man's name because of how unpopular Romney is with Republicans in Texas. I'm pretty sure they liked McCain more than Romney.

Ben Swann says the letter with the new non-rules based 'requirements' for Maine delegates came from Boston. The attorney Romney's campaign sent to the Maine convention was from Boston. (The one in Nevada was from CA.) the guy called 'Charlie Cheater' who was seen in at least two states and video taped in one with a still photo in another, according to witnesses, who was passing fake slates, was told, according to a witness, by that attorney that he had done a good job and that the attorney would be looking for work for him 'Back in Boston'.

There is a video put together by someone there where she chases him and confronts him, but you don't see him actually passing the slates I don't think, in Maine, and then there is a still photo in another state, (shown in the video) and there is reporting that he was passing fake slates. I'll copy these to the sticky thread and clean them up later. We'll send the info with appropriate headings to Gilbert when we've cleaned it up and he can pick what he wants.

Video of one of the CD chairs in Oregon putting ballots in trunk 'because Alley said to' (the state GOP Chair) despite LOSING the vote to adjourn which voted NOT to adjourn, before being confronted on camera and returning to convention. OTHER CD convention chiars DID take ballots and leave despite being in minority (that was why they did it, they were losing votes)

I'm torn about Missouri and Georgia. On the one hand it absolutely shows pattern and practice of cheating is rampant, on the other, we got our delegates seated in the first instance (the cheating had more to do with them ALSO seating a delegation to off set ours where cheating was rampant) and in GA our delegates were not seated but theirs were at least thrown out. In both cases extremely telling video had gone to media. Both are absolutely blatant and arresting the real chair and dragging him off in handcuffs in MO is shocking, up there with the Louisiana situation. I'm thinking we should compile it but submit it with a caveat that there were at least administrative actions taken of some sort.

Regarding the missouri caucus we should get a certified copy of the judgment in Brent Stafford's criminal trial for tresspass, finding him not guilty, and the video of how calmly he was regathering caucus goers, the video of the crowd inside chanting his name as their choice for chair, and this video of the State GOP guy admitting this whole thing was intended to shut Ron Paul folks out and that Stokes (Doakes?) should be supported:

but I would prefer one that does NOT have text inserts in it (for example this one has a problem with rules made in advance in the text but the real issue is that the rules BEFORE the caucus said it wasn't binding and they wanted to cheat and pretend rules were different but by their own rules that rule CHANGE from what was in place would have to be ratified by the majority at caucus and obviously WE were the majority at caucus... so they tried to push in FAKE rules, not new rules. I heard from people on the day that there were boos only at Romney's name being called 'our nominee' when there wasn't one yet, and the same people clapped during other parts of the speach. And I also heard Ron Paul chants were never drowned out by Romney, that that was ridiculous. That is what people who were there said about that article when it came out, corroborating what you just said

I've been working with the videos from the LA convention. I have 7 or 8 of the original videos, plus the 1 that shows the entire convention (freedomfiles.us stamped on the top right). To help decide which clip to show at a particular time, I put them on the same timeline, and slapped them on the same screen.

I synced them by their audio track, because my ears are a lot better than my eyes. The issue I discovered is that some of the individual videos were out of (A/V) sync to begin with, so in this video, you will notice near the end, all the videos are not in sync with one another- as much as a 750 milliseconds difference. Putting the audio tracks together actually made a big difference, because it brings out things from one video that went unnoticed in another.

This video is unlisted, because it is not a finished product. Just showing what I have so far:

The one I'm putting together now will only show 1 clip at a given time. I cleaned up the color on the hazy one to make it match a bit better, and there are still a few more videos I may use. If I have to use some clips that are too shaky, I will try to do some stabilization on them. Probably tomorrow, because it's much easier to do on an iMac.
