Thread: Compilation and vetting of VERIFIABLE facts of fraud/abuse/shenanigans in GOP conventions

Smile Compilation and vetting of VERIFIABLE facts of fraud/abuse/shenanigans in GOP conventions

This thread is to compile VERIFIABLE facts people believe to be the true state of convention activity.

MUCH OF THIS MAY BE RELEVANT TO THE LAWSUIT THE Ron Paul supporter just filed in Louisiana -- I would love that to show a pattern and practice, heck, RICO may apply.

This was initially started to give more facts for the LFRP lawsuit but we are continuing collection for other purposes, potential other lawsuits, exposes, etc. Please keep your comments ONLY to what happened, who can verify it, and, if you were an eye witness, if what is posted is or is not accurate. Post actual evidence as well, if you have it, briefly saying how it fits in. Also, those willing to sign affidavits to the facts should identify to which part of the facts they are willing to attest. TRUE IDENTITIES of affiants should be restricted to pms.

I will clean up and add more to this first post later but Torchbearer did say it was accurate, and he was there and would sign an affidavit or testify if needed. Key document links will be collected and added to the bottom of this post.

This is why the defense is asking for it to be thrown out.

Gilbert nailed him to the wall on the issue of "plausibility" especially when it came to the Mass. delegation, and that one was mentioned in the amended complaint too, and the judge seemed to agree.

Basically, it needs to be re-written with more specifics included in the actual complaint.
Who what when where and how (can't possibly need why)

Private security (off duty police) in Louisiana State GOP convention at the specific bidding of Villiers, the self appointed temporarty chair of the convention manhandled the rightful rules chair duly elected the night before by the majority of the rules committee to force him from his elected office at the convention, breaking his fingers in the process. This even though during the process the self appointed temporary chair was removed from his seat by a majority of the state convention. Thereafter, at the bidding of Villiers, other private security manhandled Herford, the newly elected chair of the convention, knocking him to the floor and injuring his newly implanted prosthetic hip, requiring that he be removed from the convention by ambulence, and preventing him from contiuing with his duly elected position at the state convetion, requiring the election of a new chair.

Gilbert is FREE TO USE THAT in the complaint.

New requirements by RNC of Maine Ron Paul delegates - even though state rules say delegates there are not bound.

A little over a week ago, 20 of those 21 delegates were told that their credentials were being challenged by Mr. Peter Cianchette (who headed the Romney campaign in Maine).

The grounds for the challenge; that 20 of these 21 delegates were illegally elected to represent Maine.

As a result, the RNC planned to not seat the entire Maine delegation at the RNC in Tampa.

Now, here is where it gets really interesting.

This weekend, the RNC, via Maine Republican Party Chairman Charlie Webster offered a "compromise"... take a look:

    1. A majority of the delegates sign a statement agreeing that, if Ron Paul is not on the ballot, they will vote at the Convention for Mitt Romney.

    2. Instead of Brent Tweed, Charlie Webster or Paul LePage would serve as the spokesperson for the delegation and announce the votes cast for president. That spokesperson would also handle all media on behalf of the Maine delegation.

    3. There will be nothing negative said about Mitt Romney or positive said about Obama (especially to media).

    4. The Delegation will be admitted to the Convention, and to all committee assignments, without barrier.

    5. The Contest brought by Jan Staples and Peter Cianchette will be withdrawn.

Tonight at 10:00 PM, Reality Check is going to break down all the details of this as well as two unrelated efforts to block Gov. Romney from receiving the Republican nomination.

For now, you can read the official response from the Maine delegation to the RNC "Compromise" here:

thanks, we may end up drafting an affidavit and sending it to Gilbert supporting this, for him to work with. He has been fed a bunch of loose internet noise on some of the actions in some states, and it shows in his complaint.

    Wi whave a wiki!

Thanks to anonymous we have a 50 page Wiki setup to collect info in all 50 states regarding the disenfranchisement of delegates.

    Here are some example pages:
    http://l4rp.wikispaces.com/Iowa
    http://l4rp.wikispaces.com/Louisiana
    http://l4rp.wikispaces.com/Maine
    http://l4rp.wikispaces.com/Michigan
    http://l4rp.wikispaces.com/Missouri
    http://l4rp.wikispaces.com/Nevada
    http://l4rp.wikispaces.com/Washington

It's not fully public for editing and open to 5 people for now. Three have joined.

This is urgent. We need to collect all that evidence in one place for the lawsuit and for other future purposes.

As a starting point, the content of this blog was used (permission requested, reference identified).
    http://jaretglenn.wordpress.com/

Add your state's data to this thread and it will be transcribed to the wiki: Witness reports, affidavits, recordings, videos, pictures, GOP rules broken, etc. Anything that's factual and can be substantiated. No secondhand stories that would not stand court.

Please compile the info in such a way that we can just make one cut & paste. Not a link to a thread.

If you are dedicated to this particular project and you can provide substantial help, we'll get you on the Wiki.

I'll look at it. We need to make sure the campaign gets it, too.

um, on the other hand, I doubt it is by the Romney campaign and has had only 88 views in all this time. I'm just going to break the link. It is false, of course, but why give it traffic?

If there is "proof" like pictures and voice recordings not just testimony...

Then I believe that would reach the bar for interstate collusion..

Really though a lawyer needs to make that call.

There is a video put together by someone there where she chases him and confronts him, but you don't see him actually passing the slates I don't think, in Maine, and then there is a still photo in another state, (shown in the video) and there is reporting that he was passing fake slates. I'll copy these to the sticky thread and clean them up later. We'll send the info with appropriate headings to Gilbert when we've cleaned it up and he can pick what he wants.

Video of one of the CD chairs in Oregon putting ballots in trunk 'because Alley said to' (the state GOP Chair) despite LOSING the vote to adjourn which voted NOT to adjourn, before being confronted on camera and returning to convention. OTHER CD convention chiars DID take ballots and leave despite being in minority (that was why they did it, they were losing votes)

    We need something on Oklahoma

Also the fake slates in Colorado

I'm torn about Missouri and Georgia. On the one hand it absolutely shows pattern and practice of cheating is rampant, on the other, we got our delegates seated in the first instance (the cheating had more to do with them ALSO seating a delegation to off set ours where cheating was rampant) and in GA our delegates were not seated but theirs were at least thrown out. In both cases extremely telling video had gone to media. Both are absolutely blatant and arresting the real chair and dragging him off in handcuffs in MO is shocking, up there with the Louisiana situation. I'm thinking we should compile it but submit it with a caveat that there were at least administrative actions taken of some sort.

Regarding the missouri caucus we should get a certified copy of the judgment in Brent Stafford's criminal trial for tresspass, finding him not guilty, and the video of how calmly he was regathering caucus goers, the video of the crowd inside chanting his name as their choice for chair, and this video of the State GOP guy admitting this whole thing was intended to shut Ron Paul folks out and that Stokes (Doakes?) should be supported:

    here's the last one:

but I would prefer one that does NOT have text inserts in it (for example this one has a problem with rules made in advance in the text but the real issue is that the rules BEFORE the caucus said it wasn't binding and they wanted to cheat and pretend rules were different but by their own rules that rule CHANGE from what was in place would have to be ratified by the majority at caucus and obviously WE were the majority at caucus... so they tried to push in FAKE rules, not new rules. And it makes a difference, if anyone has a 'clean' version of this.

Will the real "Charlie Cheater" please step forward? Why, thank you!
Ron Paul supporter Ginger Taylor has found the identity of the man circulating the fake slates. She has uploaded a video offering evidence that he is one Charlie Nejedly, a paid employee of the Romney campaign.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=JDsmc...
^^^^^ This all seems to be very good proof that the Romney Campaign was directly involved in handing out fake slates, they are paying Charlie to hand out fake slates!

Official Mass GOP website, and it is a Romney Slate called "MA_Caucus-Handout-Statewide-Flier". Not an identification as to a Romney handout, but the "Statewide Caucus Handout."
I mean, wouldn't that get confused with the Ron Paul Caucus Slate handout they had on the server and available as well? Oh, wait, more Rule 11 violations.....

    Texas

“Kay Bailey Hutchison, after nearly two decades in the Senate, made her last appearance Friday as an elected official at a Texas Republican Party convention. She took the stage to a standing ovation from thousands of GOP delegates...

“There were some boos from the crowd during her speech, but this time they were not aimed at her. Every time she mentioned party nominee Mitt Romney, a contingent of Ron Paul delegates booed loudly. At one point, the crowd divided into dueling chants: “Ron Paul! Ron Paul!” vs. “Romney! Romney!” ”

    DallasNews.com - Jun 8, 2012

“Early Friday, retiring U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison delivered a parting message to Republican Party activists, saying they must rally around Romney.

“Hutchison, who said that she is "plenty enthusiastic about Romney," ...

“Cries of support for U.S. Rep. Ron Paul of Lake Jackson and boos from the audience in the Fort Worth Convention Center Arena were eventually drowned out by chants of "Romney, Romney." ”

    Statesman.com - Jun 8, 2012
I was there as a delegate and also serving as a Sergeant at Arms, there were a total of maybe 5 people in the entire convention sporting Romney gear and never at any point during the entire Convention did I hear anyone chanting Romney's name. There were about 10-12,000 people there and the Ron Paul chants were pretty loud. Besides, Romney is obviously a liberal to a Republican Texan. Like I said, out of 10-12,000 people there were probably 5 sporting Romney gear... and they usually were ostracized by everyone else. Never at any time was Romney good to talk about at the convention. The State Chair pretty much refused to say the man's name because of how unpopular Romney is with Republicans in Texas. I'm pretty sure they liked McCain more than Romney.
I'm starting to think that the Mayans were right about 2012. Ron Paul will change the world.

I heard from people on the day that there were boos only at Romney's name being called 'our nominee' when there wasn't one yet, and the same people clapped during other parts of the speach. And I also heard Ron Paul chants were never drowned out by Romney, that that was ridiculous. That is what people who were there said about that article when it came out, corroborating what you just said

I've been working with the videos from the LA convention. I have 7 or 8 of the original videos, plus the 1 that shows the entire convention (freedomfiles.us stamped on the top right). To help decide which clip to show at a particular time, I put them on the same timeline, and slapped them on the same screen.

I synced them by their audio track, because my ears are a lot better than my eyes. The issue I discovered is that some of the individual videos were out of (A/V) sync to begin with, so in this video, you will notice near the end, all the videos are not in sync with one another- as much as a 750 milliseconds difference. Putting the audio tracks together actually made a big difference, because it brings out things from one video that went unnoticed in another.

This video is unlisted, because it is not a finished product. Just showing what I have so far:

The one I'm putting together now will only show 1 clip at a given time. I cleaned up the color on the hazy one to make it match a bit better, and there are still a few more videos I may use. If I have to use some clips that are too shaky, I will try to do some stabilization on them. Probably tomorrow, because it's much easier to do on an iMac.

I put this on a thread of its own, but thought to post it here because there is some technical info as per this paricular district

Romney Delegate from Louisiana Supports Fairness Toward Ron Paul http://centralcitynews.us/wp-content...us-7-30-12.pdf

    July 30, 2012
    Mr. Reince Priebus, Chairman
    Republican National Convention
    310 First Street, SE
    Washington, DC 20003
RE: Delegates from Sixth Congressional District of Louisiana
    Dear Reince:
You have probably heard a lot about the controversy surrounding the Louisiana Republican
Party state convention held in June 2012, which resulted in two different national convention delegations
from Louisiana to the Republican National Convention in Tampa.
The controversy came to a head last Friday, July 27 when the Louisiana Republican Party announced
the names of its delegation to the national convention.
I am writing to you in my capacity as Republican parish chairman for East Baton Rouge
Parish, the largest parish in Louisiana and the parish which forms the base of the Sixth Congressional
District. I also served in the Louisiana House of Representatives from 1972-2000, as Honorary
Chairman of the Louisiana delegation to the 1996 Republican National Convention and as Louisiana’s
member of the Platform Committee at the 2008 Republican National Convention.
During Louisiana’s Presidential Primary and the caucuses this year, I endorsed Rick Santorum
and was a leader in the efforts by RNC member Ross Little to elect an uncommitted slate of
delegates favorable to Sen. Santorum. I now fully support Gov. Mitt Romney. I have never been a
    supporter of Congressman Ron Paul.
Since the state Republican convention in June, I have had countless meetings and conversations
with leaders of the Louisiana Republican Party and leaders of the Ron Paul forces, in an effort
to broker a compromise that could allow our party to be united at the Republican National Convention
in Tampa and for this fall’s elections. Unfortunately, those efforts have failed.
As a result of the many meetings and conversations I have had with both sides, I have become
deeply concerned that our state party’s leadership, composed of some of my best friends and
political allies, has become caught up in the efforts to “block Ron Paul” and are making decisions
adversely affecting the rights of the Republican voters here in East Baton Rouge Parish.
    Sixth Congressional District of Louisiana.
On Friday, July 27, the Louisiana Republican Party announced the names of its delegation
from Louisiana to the Republican National Convention in August.
The delegation announced by the Louisiana Republican Party included a list of three delegates
to represent the Sixth Congressional District at the Republican National Convention — Allee
Bautsch, Karen Connelly, and Jay Dardenne. However, these were NOT the three delegates who
were duly elected as a result of our caucuses held here in the Sixth Congressional District on April
    28, 2012.
For purposes of this letter, I would like to separate the events that occurred BEFORE the
state convention in Shreveport from the events that occurred AT the state convention, because they
    are very different.
No matter what the Credentials Committee ultimately rules on Louisiana’s At-Large
delegates, there can be no reasonable doubt about who should be delegates from Louisiana’s six
Congressional districts. The rules provide a lot of subjectivity when it comes to the selection of
the At-Large delegates but not when it comes to the selection of the national convention delegates
    from the Congressional districts.
As to the Sixth Congressional District delegates, here is my analysis of what happened:
    1. On April 28, 2012, Louisiana Republican voters went to caucus locations throughout
the state to elect delegates to the Louisiana State Republican Convention in Shreveport. Under
the rules adopted by the Louisiana Republican Party and approved by the national party, the 25
state delegates elected from each Congressional District were supposed to meet and elect three
delegates to the Republican National Convention.
    2. In the Sixth Congressional District based here in Baton Rouge, more than 100 candidates
for state delegate appeared on the ballot. Of the 100 candidates, the top vote-getter from
throughout the entire Congressional District was a member of our East Baton Rouge Republican
Parish Executive Committee, Dr. Karla Doucet, who is an anesthesiologist. She received 743
votes. She was at the top of a slate of 25 Ron Paul delegate candidates organized by Charlie Davis.
These 25 candidates won the top 25 delegate spots to the state convention. Their vote totals
ranged from 743 votes on the high end to 698 votes on the low end. Mr. Davis’ group defeated
candidates from several other slates, including the uncommitted but pro-Santorum slate I was
associated with and the Romney slate, which was far behind. Attached you will see the results,
as sent to me by the Louisiana Republican Party on April 29, 2012.
    3. The top 25 candidates for state convention delegates, all pledged to Ron Paul, were duly
certified as the Sixth District’s delegates to the state Republican convention. None of them was
    challenged in any way.
    4. Under the rules adopted by the Louisiana Republican Party and approved by the RNC,
the 25 state delegates from the Sixth Congressional District were supposed to caucus at the state
Republican convention in Shreveport and elect three delegates to the Republican National Convention
in Tampa. They did meet and voted unanimously to elect the following three national
    convention delegates:
    Charlie Davis
    Alex Helwig
    Kevin Hussey
To me, the fact that the 25 duly-certified state delegates from the Sixth Congressional
District met and unanimously elected these three individuals is dispositive of this issue.
    5. Please note that the official results of the Louisiana Republican Party from the Sixth
Congressional District caucuses held on April 28, 2012, showed that Mr. Davis received 737
votes, Mr. Helwig received 729 votes, and Mr. Hussey received 729 votes. This contrasts with
Mr. Jay Dardenne, who is listed by the state party as a delegate from the Sixth Congressional
District. He received only 288 votes and ran 51st out of more than 100 candidates. Ms. Bautsch
and Ms. Connolly did not run for delegate at all.
    6. I know all three of the gentlemen who were elected as national convention delegates by
the 25 duly-certified delegates from the Sixth Congressional District — Mr. Davis, Mr. Helwig,
and Mr. Hussey — and I know them to be individuals of high character and with good reputations
in our community. Mr. Davis has served as Executive Director of the Louisiana Republican
Party, and Mr. Helwig and Mr. Hussey are Baton Rouge business owners, both of whom are
    Page 2
members of the Board of Governors of the Chamber of Commerce of East Baton Rouge Parish.
    7. I understand that national party rules provide that no state party can change the rules for
delegate selection after Oct. 1, 2011. Nevertheless, two days before the state convention in June
2012, Mr. Davis, Mr. Helwig, and Mr. Hussey were told that they could not serve as delegates unless
they signed an affidavit created that very day, which contained a new rule for delegate selection.
The new rule, which was included in the affidavit, said that by signing the document, they agreed
that they could be removed as delegates at any time by the Executive Committee of the Louisiana
    Republican Party.
    8. The three gentlemen refused to sign the affidavit because it contained this new rule — a
rule which had not been adopted prior to Oct. 1, 2011. Furthermore, they believed that they had
been elected by the 25 duly-certified state delegates from the Sixth Congressional District and that
they had the right to serve as national convention delegates, whether the Executive Committee
    liked their selection or not.
    9. Many other issues and disputes arose at the state convention, but none of them bears on
the issue of whether the duly-elected national convention delegates from the Sixth Congressional
District have the right to represent our district at the national convention. Their election has nothing
to do with the controversies at the state convention. Quite simply, it is patently clear that Mr.
Davis, Mr. Helwig, and Mr. Hussey were duly elected and have the right to serve.
    10. Nevertheless, the state Republican Party has submitted the names of three other individuals
to serve as national convention delegates from our congressional district — individuals
who did not compete and win in the delegate selection process adopted by the state party. The state
Republican Party could have and should have submitted the names of Mr. Charlie Davis, Mr. Alex
Helwig, and Mr. Kevin Hussey as delegates to the Republican National Convention.
    11. As chairman of the Republican Party of East Baton Rouge, the parish that has a majority
of the registered Republicans in the Sixth Congressional District, I strongly object to this usurpation.
There is absolutely no justification for depriving the Republicans of our parish and of our
Congressional District of the delegates they duly elected.
In 1975, as a member of the Louisiana House, I authored Louisiana’s first-ever Presidential
Primary law. Gov. Edwin Edwards vetoed it, but we came back and passed it again despite his objections.
My purpose at that time was to take the delegate selection process out of the back rooms
and put it in the hands of the registered Democratic and Republican voters of our state. Fortunately,
    the legislature did just that.
Today, we must not allow the delegation selection process to revert to those days of back
room politics and delegates’ being selected in secret by a handful of party leaders.
I urge you as the leader of our party to do everything you can to insure that the three delegates
elected from the Sixth Congressional District of Louisiana be seated at the Republican National
Convention and that the choices of our Republican caucus voters be honored.
With appreciation for the good work you are doing and warmest personal regards, I remain
    Sincerely,
    Woody Jenkins, Chairman
Republican Party of East Baton Rouge Parish, State of Louisiana
