Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

I would vote for Romney, if and only if, Ron Paul were the Vice President. That wouldn't happen though, since Romney knows that every libertarian with so much as a squirt gun would be willing to take one for the team when we're within pissing distance of a Ron Paul Presidency.

What makes you think a Paul VP would have any power? Do you know what the responsibilities of the VP actually include? Virtually nothing, that's the answer.

Actually, as chairman of the senate, he would get to frame senate debates. That is a position of significant power.
