Thread: AL-Sheriff, angry at Mundanes, threatens legal action against shot dog activists.

I am angered that drug dealers would put their dogs in that position
What position is that exactly? In the yard? Chained up? In the house? In a cage? In a bedroom behind the bed?

Her words and tone of voice is very interesting and telling. Its as if shes scolding her children (us) and shes mad at us for questioning them. Kind of like a child cries after a parent spanked them. "Look what you made me do! I had to do it! I had to do it! "

Well AF, I used to comment in all these threads until I couldn't stomach it anymore. I remember a post over a year ago I responded with an angry tirade, but ended by saying that the cops in my area were on the average okay and I didn't anticipate anything like this near me any time soon.

I'm sorry that this occurred in you back yard. I know how angry I'd be if it was my local cops.

It's not everyday, and not every cop, and not every call, we all realize that.

It's that it is happening with increasing frequency, and, worse, happening to people increasingly as well.

Yeah, definitely not cool. They haven't said who the officer is yet, but there is a decent chance I know the person, could have grown up with them, this is a small county.

We don't have any news stations in the county, but the Huntsville stations are carrying the story pretty heavily, so hopefully some folks will wake up. Although, most of the comments I'm seeing are "they shouldn't have had drugs and this wouldn't have happened." What's the world coming to?

If you run across anybody that says that, direct them to the hundreds of stories where totally innocent people had a cop show and shoot their dog.

What our corner of the world is coming to, is nothing good.

When the system gears up and goes to a war footing against it's own people, (and c'mon folks, there's no denying that fact any longer.) things go very bad, very quickly.

All we can do, each and every one of us, is stay strong, support each other as best we can, and push back in any way we can.

Where did I see that they found drugs in their residence?

Answer: I did not. Please direct me to the information.

Peaceful plant salesman, stop forcing us to kill your dogs! We have no discretion whatsoever and no other tools at our disposal besides guns! We must enforce every law on the books, and if your animal stands in the way, we have the right to kill it!

  17. #44
instead of all of us whining about this $#@!. maybe we could do something productive like spreading the "man or other animals" issue in every paper such is reported in and just calling a spade a spade or rather calling these $#@!ing cops genocidal maniacs. If done long enough more people will see this argument and use it.

    Only people with Cynophobia.

Seems to be on the increase.
Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

    Battered Person Syndrome, anyone?

    From the wiki:
Additionally, repeated cycles of violence and reconciliation can result in the following beliefs and attitudes:[6]

The abused thinks that the violence was his or her fault.
The abused has an inability to place the responsibility for the violence elsewhere.
The abused fears for his/her life and/or the lives of his/her children (if present).
The abused has an irrational belief that the abuser is omnipresent and omniscient.

This seems to be exactly what Franklin was going for.

Morgan County Sheriff Responds Strongly to Complaints About Dog Shot

    http://whnt.com/2012/07/23/morgan-co...-in-drug-bust/

Sheriff Franklin said at a news conference Monday that information on the Facebook page is wrong. “The comments on Facebook are inaccurate,” Franklin said at a Monday afternoon news conference. “It’s false. It’s intended to mislead the public and to alarm them and aggravate them.”

Franklin says deputies were forced to shoot the dog when it lunged at them. She says comments that deputies should have called in animal services before deputies entered are ridiculous. Franklin says deputies were forced with a split-second decision and they did the right thing.

Sheriff Franklin also issued a stern warning.

“If you’re a dope dealer and you’ve got a dog, and you’ve got that dog to protect you, and you’ve got that dog to try and limit us, then you need to be aware of the fact that if it makes an aggressive move toward us, or anybody else, there is a possibility it’s going to be shot,” said Franklin.

The dog just would not come from behind the bed and surrender quick enough for them. For all they knew it could have concealed a weapon there.

Seems this broad has "second sight" or something.

She knows you and your dog are "dope dealers".

Even if they get the wrong house, you're dope dealers too.

I still haven't seen any proof. I'm not even getting into justifying the law that allowed this to happen, yet.

I want proof of the accusation against these people. Did I miss it?

12 grams of weed. That's what they found.

And destroyed a vet's home and killed his dog.

    Looks like you were right.

The dog was shot, ran for its life and was executed behind the bed.

And now the story changes again, from "lunging" to "barking aggresively".

Franklin said the dog charged, “barking aggressively,” at narcotics agents entering Apartment 1014 at Cedar Key Apartments on Cedar Lake Road Southwest shortly after midnight Thursday.

An officer fired one shot and killed the dog, Franklin said. She declined to name the officer.

A Facebook page entitled “Justice for Aubie” alleges deputies shot the dog, a golden retriever named Aubie, three times. It was not immediately clear who created the Facebook page.

The page’s claim that Aubie ran for his life after being shot the first time, coupled with graphic photographs of the slain dog, led to a storm of angry comments on the sheriff’s office’s Facebook page.
