    Question How it all started

I have been trying in my country for a while now to influence people with the freedom message but they just fall back into the socialist faze like 2 minutes after agreeing on everything ,it is ridiculous. On the other hand there is no politician like RP here to rally behind they are all corrupted. There is general apathy here and no one seems to want to do anything about it.Everyone complains 24/7 but if you tell them lets do something about it, they immediately just start making excuses and run away.

Because I have seen many posts here where people say that they supported the same ideals even in 88 it would be great if any of them could at least in short explain how did the grassroots formed in their county and how it all went from there in the beginning.

Keep on fighting. That is how Ron Paul did it. If you are principled and consistent, people will get behind you and stay behind you.

How it all started? I stood up and said I did not condone what was happening and I refused to continue washing my hands with blood by remaining silent. I was quickly joined by another and another and another and another. It did not happen overnight and it has been a long, hard road and we are nowhere even close to the light at the end of the tunnel but we have the momentum of an out of control freight train heading down a mountain. So how does it start? With just one brave man standing up in a room full of cowards who stay seated.
"Governor, if I had foreseen the use those people
designed to make of their victory,
there would have been no surrender at
Appomattox Courthouse; no sir, not by me.
Had I foreseen these results of subjugation,
I would have preferred to die at Appomattox
with my brave men, my sword in my right hand." - Robert E. Lee to Governor Fletcher S. Stockdale (D-Texas), 1870

If I were in such a country, I'd get out, and if in the USA, I'd get ready to hide out for a year of shtf, letting the fighting and diseases kill off 90-99% of the population in the first year of shtf. then emerge to use whatever goodies are left lying around, with peace mostly restored, just because there won't be many left alive to give you any problems.
