If that's what he truly believes, I have no problem with his decision. If he's doing it only because of the rude, threatening, disgusting remarks made by people who are supposedly his allies...I apologize and am deeply sorry that he had to make this decision. I hope that this storm will calm, and we will be reunited in our fight for liberty.

While we were all here fighting and screaming at one another, the US Senate is planning to take up the Law of the Sea Treaty!: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/24/wo...ill-again.html

Friends, we cannot waddle around here and fight over Justin Amash. He opposes this treaty, and we need to support him in this fight as he will be going up against some powerful people like liberal Senator Kerry and RINO Senator Lugar. Senators Paul, DeMint, Lee, and others are fighting hard against this bill, but they need our support.

CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVES AND URGE THEM TO VOTE NO ON THIS TREATY!!! We fight hard against each other, at least we should be able to fight just as viciously against liberals and RINOs! FOR LIBERTY!!!

Rep. Amash redeemed himself with that announcement.

I honestly hope people give Amash another chance instead of being so sensitive about him. He comes from a different time than Paul, but he is still a beacon of hope! (Alongside Rand and others...)

And personally, I believe he is a hero to Arabs worldwide!

I hope I'm not delivering the wrong message here, but Justin Amash represents true Arab-Americans very well!

    Amash's latest comment:

As you know, I opposed the NDAA (probably more so than any other Member of Congress). I also voted against H Res 268, H Res 568, and Iran sanctions. Unfortunately, the sharpest criticism that has come my way has been driven by the false claim that I support "unlimited military aid." I supported a line of credit extension, which was consistent with my "no" vote on H Res 268, which called for eliminating aid to the Palestinians (Ron Paul also voted "no"). In the future, I will not support ongoing aid for Israelis OR Palestinians.

I hope his change of heart isn't limited only to ongoing aid
It's all about taking action and not being lazy. So you do the work, whether it's fitness or whatever. It's about getting up, motivating yourself and just doing it.

Ah, but that makes too much sense. It's just so much more fun to beat the crap out of each other. Not effective, but apparently it is more fun.

Amash's complete transparency and willingness to respond to any criticism is really unprecedented. Go Justin!

I commend Justin Amash for this reason. It has really given me a lot of respect for him. Respect that could take years to build up otherwise. Sure we don't agree on this specific bill, but he has shown his ability to learn from a mistake. (IMO) I feel I can trust Amash to make a conscious constitutional vote. Pretty amazing when the one thing that every Congressman should do is the one thing that sets them apart.

He is definitely trail blazer when it comes to transparency and interaction with his constituents. We are all discovering pluses and minuses with his online approach. I hope he stays around for a long time!

Agreed and I might add that he interacts with a lot more people than just his constituents. He's constantly responding to random questions on his Facebook page and tweets. Sometimes I'll see a response from Amash to the last 10 people who posted questions on his Facebook page. It really is amazing how he goes out of the way to interact with people.

Justin Amash should be given the Nobel Peace Prize...not President Obama! Justin or Ron should be given the NPP, but the board is filled with quite a few liberals and socialists who would rather give it to a man that gave empty promises. (What peace has President Obama brought---he almost started a war in Libya!)

The way it came across to me was a half-hearted way to cover his ass.

He should have just came out with a simple statement, "I was wrong in my vote, and I rebuke it."
Beware of these Obama supporters: ProBlue33, newbitech, libertarian4321, Kade, Electronicmajji, SeanEdwards,

Maybe he should've chosen a better font for that post, too.
