It's an announcement of a new phase of the campaign, not the end of it.

Yeah, but what's the "new phase"? People reading between the lines will think it's over. This sounds like the same thing as back in 2008. Paul announced a "new phase" in March 2008, that was nothing but a slowing down of his campaign, and the campaign was essentially and for all purposes dead until the formal suspension in June of that year.

Who pays attention to the media anymore... It's over when the people who are getting Dr. Paul's ideas into office say it's over.

Note to Politico: you have no idea what your dealing with, let alone declare it "over".

if doctor ronald paul technically spends the next eight weeks slowly deciding to suspend his campaign
and then right before the Tampa GOP convention he tells the delegates to vote their concience, and if
we have rand being the talk of the town and voted for about four or eight years sooner than i think is
to be the case, i can live with the idea. i think mitt romney's people are dreading a 3rd party run now.
