Continuation of Convention (Oklahoma - good), Rump Convention (Arizona - bad)

    Guys
What if he (in Arizona) got permission for meeting "off the parking lot" because it broke the continuation of the convention - on purpose? Oklahoma got permission on purpose to meet in the parking lot of the convention - even paid the hotel $450 or so dollars.

A guy from Daily Paul remembers Buchanan having a court case about this very thing, and a judge ruling that the difference between a continuation of the real convention and a rump alternate unrecognized convention, is that it is continuing to meet on the same grounds.

a rump is when 2 conventions going on at same time, See Reform Party Long Beach Convention. Buchanan vs Heglein

The Paul supporter convention outside was just reconvened from the same convention on the same property because orginal convention never ended - perfectly legal.

Ultimately Buchanan prevailed because his convention was at the orginal site, Hagelin moved his off site.
Hagelin had a rump, a convention going on at same time.

The judge basically said no rules were broken, but the biggest factor was the Hagelin convention was not at the orginal site, and was not a continuation of the orginal convention, but OK is, they did it right.

"Nothing we can do would matter anyway."
"You're right! ...so let's go drinking! It's a good thing you got special permission for us to use this parking lot so we could decide that!"
Yes, I was a bit confused about that too. Which started this thread.

this indeed goes back to the 1600s RUMP parliament and the chaos
just prior to oliver cromwell's lord protector status as military dictator
the rump implies a break, the continuation a continuity. in our own
revolution when the virginia legislature met again in a new locale...
