    Ha, I kind of like your interpretation.

    The meaning I had in mind was that It's symbolicly "still like America" - in that the horses are beautiful, spirited and free, and this tradition (the Kentucky Derby-run this past Saturday) is STILL taking place in this land.

    The horse about to cross the finish line above is called "I'll Have Another" -- but you'll have to ask his owner about the particulars. :-)

    The connection is: America was also beautiful spirited and free, not so very long ago. Ah well..

    Didn't mean to confuse everyone, though. Apologies.
