i heard they're developing photon torpedoes, and have been threatening our little buddy Israel.
Bad solution: We should annihilate the moon, vaporize it and let the debris rain down upon our heads. We can manage to cycle the tides on our own with a central bureau. We can regulate hormones in man and animals via mass zeppelins floating at night with varying degrees of luminosity. We can send up an asteroid deflection device to take the place the Moon serves in this capacity. See all these jobs we're creating by destroying the Moon!? We should have done this thousands of years ago!
Good solution: Talk to the Moon and see what it wants. Make it clear to this strange actor that we respect the rights of actors to own their own corporal being and the property they own (there is an objective criterion for property: that which you have changed and control). We should be willing to trade those things we legitimately own for things that the Moon legitimately owns. We should also make it clear that we are not above using force to defend our property.
