    Background:
Oklahoma is entitled to 43 National delegates, 40 of which are allocated per the result of the March 06 Primary (14 Santorum, 13 Romney, 13 Gingrich). The remaining 3 "Bigwig" delegates are unpledged, but will likely support Romney in Tampa.
    Source: http://www.thegreenpapers.com/P12/OK-R
    Importance:
At the CD Conventions in March and April, Liberty patriots won 9 of 15 National delegates, along with at least 9 alternates (There is the possibility of picking up 3 more delegates, as the results of the CD-1 Convention are being challenged). The State Convention will select 25 more delegates and alternates for Tampa. Because the delegates for Santorum and Gingrich will likely be unbound in Tampa, Dr. Paul will probably control a plurality of delegates for the purpose of qualifying him for the Presidential nomination ballot under Rule 40(b), if he can sweep the 25 delegates at State this weekend.
Oklahoma Liberty delegates and alternates, please attend your Convention this weekend, then post on this thread your accounts of what transpired. Thank you!
Also, FYI, on that Mitt Romney chat that night of the ME/NV coup, the Romney supporters were gloating about a "surprise waiting for the Paultards" at the OK conventions. I hope the grassroots are ready and prepared.

Passing along to who I know...

This was received by some people from the Santorum campaign via email:

The Santorum Oklahoma leadership is dedicated to restoring the American future. Rick Santorum recently endorsed the nomination of Mitt Romney for our next president. Our common family values and fiscal concerns are of top priority in the race ahead.
It is crucial that the Republican base of Oklahoma makes a clear committment to uniting for victory in the weeks and months ahead.

The Oklahoma State Convention is this Saturday, May 12th. Our Executive Committee is charged with the task of endorsing 50 representatives for national delegate/alternate. We are very pleased that an open and thoughtful process has completed and an excellent slate has been a.nnounced. We ask all our friends to support the slate.

A Libertarian faction is attempting to take over the national delegation and even remove some district results. Their design is to replace the conservative, family-values platform with Libertarian efforts to legalize prostitution, and recreational drug use. They would reject the American committment to our strategic allies around the world, leaving a void for pirates and terrorists to move in. Our economic restoration relies upon a fine balance of freedom and security. Both liberalism and libertarianism threaten a robust national economy.

We ask all state delegates to be in attendance this Saturday, in Norman, OK for a very important state GOP convention.

The Libertarian faction has already taken over at least 7 states this spring. Lets not let Oklahoma fall into their hands through apathy or confusion.

The national primary season is wrapping up. We gave it our all and overacheived greatly. We had some spirited debates and probably spent too much time focusing on our candidates' individual distinction, and not enough time on the Democrats who need to be sent home. While we all have had some disappointments, we are all working together to build a great united team of conservative leaders.

Rick Santorum's national campaign manager, Michael Biundo, will be on hand at the convention this weekend. Mitt Romney was fortunate to accept Mike's assistance and quickly promoted him to a national position on the Romney team. The Romney team has been actively seeking the input of Santorum and Gingrich supporters.

A very unique opportunity is presenting itself to all the values voters of the Republican base. Mitt Romney made a special effort to travel to Pittsburgh, to tap into Rick Santorum's passion and wisdom for national recovery. Not just economic recovery, but a cultural and philoshophical recommittment to the patriotic values that make our nation the "shining city" that Ronald Reagan dedicated his life to building.

How do you like that? And, let me say, both sides are ready for a showdown tomorrow.
