Really, it should be very simple.
If Congress had the collective guts, all it would take is a bill to de-fund the TSA. No funding, no TSA.
But if this were to occur, the collective bleatings of fear from the American sheeple would be deafening.
That's cause Google, Wikipedia, Facebook etc. didn't mobilize the masses to fight the TSA like they did to protect their financial interests on SOPA. And they didn't fight CSIPA because that was aligned with their interests.
The message is clear. Being on the net isn't enough for the liberty movement. We really need to own the net. Not sure how to do that yet though.

Rand-he ain't Ron but he is the next best thing.
There is enormous inertia — a tyranny of the status quo — in private and especially governmental arrangements. Only a crisis — actual or perceived — produces real change. When that crisis occurs, the actions that are taken depend on the ideas that are lying around. That, I believe, is our basic function: to develop alternatives to existing policies, to keep them alive and available until the politically impossible becomes politically inevitable
- Milton Friedman
Sorry, to 'just get rid of them' might be a lot easier said then done. The special interest has already been formed. The newly formed TSA party will fight every attempt to dissolve their parasitical and privileged status. Their paychecks and the power they wield have already corrupted them. They are 100 percent government bought. You could say the state gave birth to them in a way, and for that fact alone, they will give glory to government forever and ever amen. [Poly-ticks].

I view the TSA as central banker's thugs. Honest sound money puts an end to their reign of terror because people won't pay gold or silver to be obstructed. End The Fed and End The TSA along with the Police State.

Not necessarily. Some people wouldn't care and would go about their frivolous lives, but others would start shouting about how all those tourists (terrists) are going to come and kill us now. Then you have us, but from the majority, you will get a mixture of silence and bleating in fear. That is to say, just bleating in fear.

All the stories about the TSA groping crippled 4-year old children and 88-year old Grandma's are starting to have an effect. As clueless as Americans are, I think there is a real dislike for the TSA, and it will continue to grow as Americans realize the TSA is nothing more than "security theater" that infringes on the rights of Americans, makes flying a miserable experience, and does nothing to stop terrorists.
Hopefully, we can make it go away- or at least remove the most egregious aspects of it (the groping, the porno scanners, and the like).
Terminate every single one of them, WITHOUT even a final paycheck and take every piece of their gear to the local landfills. Oh, and blacklist every stinking one of them so that they end their days as starving paupers.
There are no crimes against people.
There are only crimes against the state.
And the state will never, ever choose to hold accountable its agents, because a thing can not commit a crime against itself.
Educating the masses isn't good enough at this point. We need to become the new media. We need to be the ones launching the next generation of Facebook or YouTube or whatever. I'm tired of the liberty movement being broke (myself including) and doing a "moneybomb" here and a "chipin" there. How to get there? I don't know yet. But between now and 2015 we need about 10,000 Ron Paul millionaires. And that might not even be enough.

It sounds to me like Rand can use all the help he can get. Sign the petition supporting him on this;

Some real unaltered statistics would be helpful...
How many non-government inspired "terrorists" have these jokers actually caught?
I'm not talking about Jr. with his boy-scout knife or granny with her nail clippers...
Our government has spent billions of tax-payer (and borrowed) dollars on this "feel-good" BS and what do we have to show for it?
Loss of liberty and acclamation to indignities just to travel....
I agree with Rand.....It'd be nice if he included a few other alphabet agencies in his bill though.
