Change will never come out of Washington. Congress and POTUS will never give up the powers they have usurped and SCOTUS will never rule against them.

Change will only come at the state level, through nullification and through a constitutional convention.

What frustrates me even more is, a Congressional race costs hundreds of thousands of dollars, money which could be used to elect over a dozen state representatives!

Congress = hopeless!
State Houses = hope!

We could win Gunny's race and give him a significant share of the NC Senate with the money spent on one US House seat. Two US House seats would give us a majority in the NC Senate and a large platform for liberty.

Sure. And the ability to raise money is very important to the party, too. (Something that I learned from somebody here, actually.) One of the local candidates around here couldn't get the time of day from the GOP until he showed them he was raising money. Then, and only then, did the endorsements start rolling in.

Don't panic, we haven't spent more than we collected. Some of that is what I put in, apparently the conventional wisdom is when the candidate puts money in you call it a 'loan' rather than a 'donation,' so in case you have leftovers (in my case that might be $15 lol I try to take it down to zero by the election) you can pull it out of the campaign without going to jail...and some of that was collected Q4 2011.

Yes KCIndy. We had some left from the 2011 reporting. We can't afford to run in the negative, small peanuts as we are.

What is most important this last weekend before the May 8 Primary is bodies. We need people to help with the lit drop Saturday and Sunday.

If this 64+ year old can keep up with Gunny, then so can others. We still need to hit 5000+ voters this coming weekend. How can we get people to come out and join us?
