Ron Paul supporters win big at Alaska GOP convention

We had 479 total delegates (excluding alternates) at the State Convention.

The party chair stated that each party officer position must be won by a majority. Voting for party positions went for two rounds ballots. After the first ballot, all of the Ron Paul supporters got a plurality of the votes, but only the Secretary and Assistant Secretary received a majority. After the second round of voting, the Ron Paul supporters won the Chair and Vice-Chair, but the National Committeeman and Committeewoman were won by the current non-Paul supporters Ralph Seekins and Debbie Joslin.

We won 4 out of 6 state officer positions.

When the time came to discuss the RNC delegates, a person representing each of the 4 presidential candidates from the Nominations Committee declared that they fully endorse the slate of delegates that was being put forth. The slate passed without opposition. There were no attempts to unbind the delegates.
