RNC, TNGOP Prepare For Close Collaboration To Elect Mitt Romney President

    NASHVILLE, TN
    – Now that Mitt Romney is the presumptive Republican nominee for President of the United States, the Republican National Committee (RNC) and Tennessee Republican Party will now begin establishing open lines of communication to collaborate political operations across the state and country.

The Romney campaign announced this week four liaisons that will help synchronize efforts between the Romney campaign and the RNC. Additionally, the RNC has placed Hispanic outreach coordinators in swing states throughout the country that will be working closely with the Romney campaign.

“Governor Mitt Romney is well on his way to being our nominee for President,” said Tennessee Republican Party Chairman Chris Devaney. “I welcome the opportunity in working closely with his campaign to make him the next President of the United States. For the next 6 months, our state party will be working nonstop to ensure a huge margin of victory for Governor Romney and our Republican candidates in Tennessee.

“Folks in our state realize Barack Obama’s policies have only made our economy worse and Governor Romney is the only candidate to get us back on track. Americans and Tennesseans deserve a President who is serious about creating jobs and turning around the economy. They don’t have that right now – but they will when we put a Republican in the White House,” concluded Devaney.

Romney is only 300 delegates away from the 1,144 delegates needed to formally clinch the Republican nomination.
