says he would Eliminate HUD and Other Federal Agencies

At a private fundraiser in Florida on Sunday, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney offered an unusual glimpse at his policy plans — including the possibility that he might eliminate an agency his father led.

His wife, Ann Romney, also spoke candidly about the flap over stay-at-home moms last week as a campaign boost.

“I’m going to take a lot of departments in Washington, and agencies, and combine them. Some eliminate, but I’m probably not going to lay out just exactly which ones are going to go,” Romney told the audience. His words were heard by reporters on a sidewalk outside the event. “Things like Housing and Urban Development, which my dad was head of, that might not be around later.”

Not quite. Heck, even Rick Perry tried harder with proposing to eliminate 3 departments. He wasn't sure exactly which ones, but he wanted to eliminate 3.

Romney will do what his backers want him to do, and what he SAYS he will do isn't persuasive given his changes over the years.

Just look at his budget next to Ron's. His priorities are clearly not with the American people.

Liberals in the article comment board are squealing like stomped animals.

They actually believe their slop is in danger from Romney.

It may be if the banks backing Romney want to end HUD.

When you look at things that way, I'm sure most banks would want to remove the HUD restrictions.

Romney also addressed the need to win over Hispanic voters and said there must be a “Republican DREAM Act” — a reference to legislation that would give undocumented immigrant students a path to citizenship.
    Typical pandering for a vote.
Let them keep thinking Ron Paul supporters are just a little army. Every military strategy manual in the world has examples of the bad things that happen to arrogant commanders of massive armies that underestimate the enemy. They all lose. We will win because the human heart, despite its detractors, is meant for truth and freedom.
