Meh, happens every year. I didn't even notice it cause I know on "General Strike Days" there's no point leaving your house, nothing is open and people like to break things.

Why does our media need to cover this? It's Spain. We all know it's gonna happen here eventually.

It's not in the media because they probably don't want to spook the opening markets ... When they open and go down now they have a nice convenient excuse for it as well.

How many times should the US media cover whinny socialists in Europe acting like spoiled brats? It's been covered 100 times and is just boring.

I don't think it's as simple as that.

Either way, they are not covering the actual news.

'We endorse the idea of voluntarism; self-responsibility: Family, friends, and churches to solve problems, rather than saying that some monolithic government is going to make you take care of yourself and be a better person. It's a preposterous notion: It never worked, it never will. The government can't make you a better person; it can't make you follow good habits.' - Ron Paul 1988

I heard about the Spanish protests though the media. Guess others missed the story?

    One report as an example:

Lol I'm in Spain and I missed it. I knew Thursday was going to be a general strike, but on Thursday I completely forgot about it.

Hey guys, I got an idea, the media should cover every single protest across the world at all times. Even if they are part of a bigger story that is already getting a lot of news play. And completely ignore stories that allow for profits institutions to make money
