Thread: "Rick's Army" webforum shut down

Default "Rick's Army" webforum shut down

    When one goes to

    http://ricksarmy.com/forum/index.php

There is only a message "Thank you for all your hard work for Rick! The forum is now closed."

That was fast. Unexpected, too: to the extent that Santorum's followers had a consistent ideology, one would think that they would want to coordinate a strategy going forward.

I think most Santorum supporters would talk to each other through social media like Facebook.
    Two cups of tea
One for hope and one for peace
    Watching government lies
    Leak into your empty eyes
From the TV and winners history

Yeah, Huck's Army is still up and running -before he announced he wasn't running, it was starting to buzz. But maybe Rick's Army is an official site?

traffic is money and if that forum was not completely dead i would keep it live.

I think it was actually own/run by the Official Campaign themselves - the first time I saw a link to it was on Rick Santorum's facebook page where 'he' had facebooked about it there was a link to it on the side of the FB page (like a permanent link). Campaign closes down, forum closes down.
It was not Grassroots. It was astroturf.
Let's move forward to the Constitution.. I am the new GOP. I stand with Rand.

Well, I wouldn't begin to know how to monetize a site, so I really can't say "Me too!" but......me too. Was it really dead? They've shuttered it up pretty tight.

This website is not owned or operated by any candidate or political campaign.

    Yeah, looks like astroturf indeed.

I don't know - I'm still not buying it. Just my opinion, I have no proof. (but I'm working on it)

Couldn't find any direct evidence linking it to the campaign - this is the FB post that led me to believe it was official - maybe I just misread/misunderstood it.

    I'm probably wrong.

Argh - for once, I wasn't being sarcastic. I think you're exactly right.

    Hmm...

Anyway we look at it, we must get in contact with Santorum supporters and ask for their support.
    Welcome to the R3VOLUTION!
