The Egan-Jones agency has downgraded the US credit rating for the second time to AA as debt to GDP surpasses the 100 percent mark and is worsening.

all it means is they defied his order. He doesn't really have an legal basis to go after them but doesn't mean he didn't ask them to not report the story.
i think it is more likely that the state media outlets are not covering this story because it doesnt fit into the recovery story they have recently been selling.
