Hmmm. What people don't understand is Ron Paul supporters cannot be told for whom to vote. The one thing we all seem to have in common is, we have the ability to see straight through BS. They talk about us like we are just pawns in a chess game or something. They are all such idiots as far as I'm concerned.

You do have to realize though that not every person that voted for Paul is a hardcore supporter. Most of the people that voted for Paul in the primary, will probably vote for the nominee in the general. Exit polling supports this, going as far back as SC where only 40% of Paul voters said they would not support the nominee. And that was at a time where emotions and optimism were a lot higher. Recent exit polling shows lower percentages. So speculating who Paul will endorse, and/or where his supporters will move to is perfectly reasonable.Originally Posted by No1butPaul
Respectfully disagree -- all those people at UCLA and Berkely are NOT going to vote for the republican nominee, that is for sure!!! Perhaps many of the republican voters may support the nominee, but that also is only a fraction of RP supporters.

Ok but do the math. There were about 15000 there right? Based on 2008 returns from CA, that is about 0.5% of the primary vote. If Paul gets 10% or so (like he is polling at in CA) that means there is another 300,000 votes to consider. That is a lot of people who may be swayed one way or another come the general election. Don't get me wrong, I realize that we do have a hardcore NOBP base, but that base is a fraction of the overall Paul electorate.
All this is still premature though as we are still trying to win the Republican nomination.
