Why isn't the administration ripped to shreds over this farce of a budget proposal?

So as you can see there is more green than red. Total spending is going to rise again with something like 20 billion. But magically revenues are supposed to increase with 450 Billion. Or 17.5 percent.
What kind of magic world are they living in?
Also by 2017 (as you can see on page 205 http://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/defa...ets/budget.pdf) the gdp will surpass 20T. So all will be well. Everybody will own 7 Iphones and 3 Ipads and AAPL will trade at $5489.

You mean ripped to shreds as in losing a 414-0 House vote, not getting a single supporter even from his own party?

Oh okay, thank god. But it just proves how retarded this administration is. This in addition to the really poor timing of the next debt ceiling discussion which will break into full force mid september according to zerohedge causes me to believe that this administration is not only filled with people with a wrong world view but just plain stupid people.

Untill now I thought ok, Obama is a puppet socialist tendencies likes war, yada yada bit of a hypocrite but I still thought he was a smart cookie. Now? $#@! this guy is just plain retarded. Who the hell plans a debt ceiling debate 6 weeks in front of his election?

You see the alternative is the Ryan plan which dares to touch the entitlement state. And the AARP is going to have a hissy fit over that.

The Ryan proposals for Social Security for the most part make good sense. Instead of tying the increase index to average wages, he proposed changing indexing to prices. He also supports a gradual raising of the retirement age where one received full benefits.

Both Ryan and Ron Paul's budgets took assumptions that tax revenues rise by 25% over four years.

The president can only propose a budget- congress (starting with the House of Representatives) are the ones with the responsiblity under the Constitution of actually writing it.
