Pics of some Ron Paul treefolk. In the 3rd photo you can see that they are able to see inside the stadium, so they are watching the speech from up in the trees. I wonder if Mitt Romney or Rick Santorum ever have any treefolk at their speeches.

The LATC features eight lighted, hard-surface courts, a 5,800-permanent seat grandstand around the three main courts and a two-level clubhouse. At full capacity, the LATC can accommodate 10,000 spectators.
Yeah, I don't know. there were these main sections then these back sections that were kind of behind a bit. Down lower there were actual seats as opposed to the benches. If 5800 was the 'seats' alone, and not the benches, then it was a lot closer to 10,000. But I just don't know what the 5800 refers to.

Mind boggling that that didn't seat the floor area. More people could have seen the speech and the visual effect would have been even more powerful. It always looks better with the crowd encroaching up close to the speaker.

There was a time factor, it literally kept filling during almost his entire speech. Just moving that many people in through the gates and seating them took a ton of time.

I'm wondering if the 10,000 full capacity specification requires seating the floor area (tennis court)?

Foe example, I found this tube of a Coldplay concert there last year, where we can see the floor area seated. That would add a lot of people to the venue.

Update: Attendance for this Coldplay concert with the floor seated was 6820:

I don't know. As I said there were two types of seating, blue plastic 'chairs' down lower, and benches above. I don't know if the 5800 is the one and not the other, or if it requires standing on the courts. SOMEONE has to know, though. Ron did say we broke Chico's record, so....

They probably did not want people down there with street shoes to scuff up the courts.

headline: Where's Ron Paul? Campaign slows, though candidate shows no sign of quitting

    first sentence:
The Ron Paul "revolution" has gotten awfully quiet.
