Vermont Caucuses for delegaters April 2nd and 3rd

Hey guys I got the email below from a grassroots leader in Vermont who is not on this board and told him I would put it here to get him some much needed bodies

    Greetings Vermonters!!

Thank you so much for your support to help Ron Paul achieve one of his best popular vote finishes in the race so far. But now comes the important part; DELEGATES!

The vast majority of Vermont's towns are holding caucuses on Tuesday night April 3rd. At these meetings people are being selected to go to the state convention where Vermont's 17 delegates will be named to the national convention

The popular vote binds 4 delegates to vote for Paul on the first round of voting. But if no candidate gets a majority all of Vermont's delegates will get to vote however they choose.
So your vote for Ron Paul could be in danger. Don't let Romney's campaign organize and send 17 Romney supporters from Vermont!

You can help continue the Ron Paul R3volution by simply showing up to TWO meetings and voting.
I'm not asking for money, or phone calls or door-knocking. Just show up at your local town meeting and become a delegate. And if you can, join us at the state level.

In the next few days most of Vermont's towns will be holding caucuses where town delegates will be sent to the national convention. There is evidence to suggest that some of these delegate slots will go unfilled just because people won't show up to the meeting. To find location on your town's caucus meeting you can either check the GOP's website:
    http://vtgop.org/gop-town-caucus-inf...on-2/#comments

Or you can contact one of our grassroots organizers in Vermont, to get details. If your town is not listed, don't worry, you may still be able to participate - but you'll need to contact us for the details:

    Paul Dame
    Essex Junction, VT
    802-318-7544
    paul_E_D@hotmail.com

We also may be able to put you in touch with other Paul supporters in your area!

So as soon as you get this email, click on the link to the GOP website, or contact Paul because your caucus could be meeting tonight!

Thanks for your support of Ron Paul, and we look forward to helping him obtain delegates here in the Green Mountain State!

Any news on how we did in the caucuses in Vermont? Somebody on the Daily Paul told me that 42% of the total state delegates were Paulites, can someone confirm this please?

    VT Caucus results

The returns on the caucus are sketchy at best. The VTGOP has been playing a hard and secretative game from the get go. State convention delegates numbers stand at around 17% "open" RP supporters, but not all delegates actually attend so the number could be closer to 21% "open" RP supporters. There are "covert" RP supporters and unidentified supports as well, but again those numbers are in flux. We do know that the Pro-Romney Party Leadership has called out all hands, but they make up maybe 35 or 40% of the delegates. So we will have to fight over the remaining 39% or 44% of uncommitted delegates.

We expect a fight from the get go over National and State Delegate qualification, as well as slate voting vs. individual candidate voting.

It ain't going to be pretty.

Please keep us posted. The key is to get delegates from wherever we can.
