Thread: Fill the Leadership vacuum. Take the wind from Romney and Obama's sails.

Post Fill the Leadership vacuum. Take the wind from Romney and Obama's sails.

Find a good backdrop. Come out hard on gay marriage. Do it in a way that can rally the RNC and simultaneously make the President look like a soul-less opportunist.

Deliver a speech that contains the following elements:

"President Obama has recently reversed his position on the subject of gay marriage. he has come to a new position where he does indeed think that some Americans require even more government to protect their liberty. The need this new layer of government to protect their liberty from other layers of government.

I can't know what is in the President's heart, but from the outside this change in position looks surprisingly well timed and sadly rather cynical. He is using abuses Americans have heaped upon one another to attempt to divide the country. To 'energize' his base. Instead of standing up for all Americans and serving his oath of office, he is standing up for some Americans to play partisan games.

The President does not seem to understand how much injustice he creates as he tries to help.

Governor Romney has little to say about this, as he has not yet completed his political calculus.

It is very simple. The Government has some rights granted to it by the constitution, but many more with-held from it. As a scholar the President knows this. He knows that the government has no right to tell us where we should work or what we should earn. The government has no right to invade our homes and our bedrooms. The government has no right to control what we learn or where we learn it. The President knows all this.

The President knows that the government has no right to try to control who we can love or why. If we are not hurting others the government has no right to interfere with how we live our lives. The government has no right to drag us to prison without charge. The government has no right to begin wars without the peoples consent. The government has no right to restrict what we eat. The President knows all this, he must for he is a scholar of the Constitution.

However, the President stands for Americans rights only when the moment serves him. He has never stood as the lone voice voting for the rights of the people against the entire chorus of congress.

He will not and has not stood for you when you have needed him to. Where was he when the bankers looted the treasury? He was there with the Governor urging them on. He believes in the right of the government to take from the poor and give to the rich. This is the entire purpose of the Federal Reserve. Believe me it will not be the wealthy who carry the burden of this administrations excesses.

Governor Romney stands with the President, ready to take from the middle class, from the poor, and from even from those yet to be conceived.

The President has now 'evolved' his thinking. He now thinks perhaps the government should grant a right it does not have the power to grant. The Government cannot grant it because it was never the governments to withhold.

I am a Republican. I believe you have all the rights and the government has none except those you grant it. The government does not, and never had the right to tell you if you are married or not. It is none of their business."

I think marriage is the least of anyone's concern in this house of cards.

I will write another suggestion when the when the News Cycle is about the GOP's lack of a response to the 2012 crash.

    Too long!

Keep it short! Read Gustave LeBon "psychology of the masses"

    Rules:
    short, no proofs, no arguments!
    Repeat, repeat, repeat!
    Attack! Spell out accusations!
Take the opponent his 'nimbus' : make him look ridiculous

The masses hate to stand up for a loser, make Romney look like piece of sh*t
You won't make a dent if you treat him nice. Paint a picture which leaves no room for interpretation: Ron Paul is everything, Romney is nothing.
If you wanna win the masses you have to play hardball. No room for intellectual blah. Be nice, yes smile, but be short and clear! 2 paragraphs at most, no argumentation! Masses hate intellectual blah. Who discusses, is in defense. Attack! Even false accusations are ok. It leads The opponent todefending himself. That looks WEAK to the masses.

Given the OP's post, there are no leaders in America. Politicians are attuned to what their constituency will respond to emotionally and they then tailor their platforms accordingly.

The issue is NOT really about gay marriage. It ought to be about Liberty. But, both sides are right and both sides are wrong.

America was founded as a Christian nation, not as a theocracy, but as a nation built upon Christian principles. Unlike Muslim countries that chop your hands off for stealing, the U.S. tries to make the punishment fit the crime. Our laws are a reflection of what we believe in, as a nation.

In my mind, this country should approach gay marriage with only one issue in mind: Is marriage a Right OR is it a privilege? IF marriage is a Right, why would a gay couple apply for a marriage license? By legal definition, a license or a permit is:

"The permission by competent authority to do an act which, without such permission, would be illegal, a trespass, or a tort."

    Black's Law Dictionary

If you want to join a church, do you ask the government's permission to join? Correct answer: No. Why? You have a Right to Freedom of Religion. So, again, if you have a Right to do something, why ask the government for a license? Why keep allowing the government to believe they have the authority to grant Rights?

You can find a preacher, Notary, judge, or whatever you like to conduct a ceremony and declare yourself to be married. Where people screw up is believing that if they are married, it obligates employers to hire them and insurance companies to insure them, etc. If you join a church, does it automatically mean you can pray before the class if you are a teacher? No, the Right will not allow you to "impose" your beliefs on society - even if 100 percent of them already believe as you do. Once the Right is reduced to a privilege, Uncle Scam will be putting all manner of limitations on it. THAT is how they justify the separation of church and state... too many people don't know how to differentiate between a Right and a privilege.

Barack in all his pompous arrogance can tell you he believes in gay rights all he wants. It means NOTHING. If you have a Right to do something, do it. Government does not grant Rights. If you are a guy and you look at some other guy's butt and you decide you can't live without it, get married. Just don't do it expecting that will force others to accept it or validate it. If you love someone, it's between you and that person.

Yeah, don't you think they control the "News Cycle"? The news talks about what they want them to talk about.

If they can get the media (which of course, they can) to waste their time talking about these peripheral issues, and divide Americans up into neatly defined collectives to bicker amongst themselves for incredibly minor differences, the public won't vote on the real issues.

I like your post, but I don't think we want to waste a whole lot of time wrestling in their mudpit.
