    Absolutely! I had a hyper-extended my knee a few years back. I was instructed to be immobile--I was like, "Yeah riiiight, I do not think so." In retrospect, I am so glad that I didn't listen to the establishment. It was because of the fact that I did not sit down and remained mobile that my knee did not freeze up and it healed a lot quicker. I was back to my original self within months--still no problems!

    I may add, when I went to an orthopedic doctor, he initially told me I will eventually need to have knew surgery within a few years.

    So wait, 62% of the participants were obese or overweight, and 40% are more likely to die over the next three years? Doesn't this imply that there's a correlation between being obese/overweight and dying rather than sitting down and dying?

    I've been sitting on my butt for the last 5 years (school -> work etc) xD

    I have a disorder where I can't stand for long periods of time. HAHAH!

    Meh , working can kill you too , I am grateful that it has not me , yet ,,, in the end , we all must die , would you prefer your death from sitting , drinking , smoking , screwing , eating , battle , or , choice 2.) slave labor or killed by govt, ??? , somebody , put up a poll , pretty sure , I know how , I will vote.
