Lots of good stuff found here.
A GOP activists and consultant who helped spearhead a major rules change at the National Republican Committee in 2010 states that as far as he can tell, the Ron Paul and Mitt Romney camps in the Missouri caucuses did not engage in any rules violations as some have charged. Mike Ridgway, who provides education and training to GOP voters and activists, told this reporter last evening that the reason Santorum got short changed in the awarding of delegates in the Greene County Missouri Caucuses is that the Paul and Romney camps were able to take advantage of a fundamental flaw in the rules -- a flaw which has been part of Republican Party caucus rules since time immemorial, not just in Missouri, but around the country. While nothing would have precluded the Greene County Caucus (or any caucus) from electing slates of district and state convention delegates where each presidential candidate would have received roughly the same percentage of delegates that he received in votes in Missouri's primary, no requirement for such proportionate allocation currently exists in the rules of either the Missouri Republican Party or the Greene County Republican Party. [1] Ron Paul supporters ambushed the Clark County primary and will have a lot of delegates when the party goes to the state convention. Mitt Romney won the Caucus but the Paul camp will be able to switch their votes if they want. Paul has a ton of cash and hardcore supporters who will walk through fire for him and that's how he took Clark County in Nevada. It's going to get fun this summer.
