A martyr is usually an example, a martyr is killed because of his good acts. Mohammed Merah didn't do anything good, I don't see who could follow his example, nobody I hope!

The chances of a kid living in France converting to Salafi Jihadism? I don't see it as being likely. Guy was a lone wolf during the attacks. It was just him as his family (brother, mother, etc)

Religion in general just needs to put to be an end. It breeds extremists (Fred Phelps, Osama Bin Laden, Ervil LeBaron, Timothy McVeigh, the list just goes on.) who can't tolerate others for whatever reason.

Fred Phelps is just an idiot who has no respect and no taste. He plays on the fact that he "offends" you. The fact that you think something like what he does needs to be "put to an end" shows your misunderstanding of freedom. Fred Phelps isnt murdering anybody....he is practicing his God-given right to be an idiot.

What does Timothy McVeigh have to do with Christian "extremism"? What is Christian about anything he ever said or did?

If you can make sure every Christian, Muslim, and Jew in the world follows only the good parts of their respective religions then I'll say religion is good but that isn't going to happen so we will continue to have Jews, Christians, and Muslims killing each other because they can't get over their differences.

It's fine to believe in God but the rest of it isn't needed. Society already has a moral code so we don't need the Bible for that. I'm sorry but the majority of Christians I have met (and don't say they aren't Christians because of their extreme statements) think homosexuals should be put into camps and murdered, if every Arab nation won't convert to Christianity we will convert them to ash, and all kinds of other hateful bigoted statements.
