Thread: Please don't blame all teacher/teacher hopefuls for the flawed system

Intelligent people at this forum wouldn't blame a teacher, but face it, some will say you're part of the system.
If you weren't a teacher, we wouldn't have the evil Dept. of Education.

It falls into the same warped logic -- if people didn't enlist in the military, we wouldn't have evil foreign wars.
PRF collectivism doesn't stop there. If your state didn't vote for RP, then your state is ignorant.

I am currently going to college to be an elementary school teacher.
Young teachers are awesome. Once they hit the 10 year mark though, their spirit is broken and they're just counting off the years until retirement.

I love children, and would love to be able to teach them what really matters. I support homeschooling, but many parents, especially very young ones, have no interest in helping their children and/or can't afford a private school. I trust Ron Paul, so anything he plans to do I'm for, I just don't want to be denied what I feel is my calling.
Words cannot describe how much this paragraph concerns me. I don't want the teachers to love my children, especially when they believe that I probably have no interest in helping them. Teachers are in the lives of these kids for 9 whole months. How dare they assume they know better than the parent, about anything?

And a calling? A calling? A higher power has come to you and instructed you to lead the children of others into "what really matters?"

    Shudder.
