    Britain should be ashamed

The price of a life? In Afghanistan, it's as little as $265

KABUL (REUTERS) - In Afghanistan, if Nato forces kill a member of your family, it is better in terms of money if he or she comes from from Germany or Italy than the United States or Britain.

In the cold calculation of how much to pay for victims of the decade-old war, British forces have doled out as little as US$210 (S$265), while German forces have paid as much as US$25,000, according to a study by the human rights NGO CIVIC.

Civilian casualties caused by Nato forces hunting insurgents are a major source of friction between the Afghan government and its Western backers - all the more so after a lone United States (US) soldier gunned down 16 Afghan villagers at the weekend.

Well America did dump the Depleted Uranium near kabul, the weapons used are DU contaminated. I am not suprised if America has to pay the most.

That may not have anything to do with victims but there is a nasty legacy left behind. The only thing achieved by this conflict is the establishment of nineteen bases in the region.

It's freaking ridiculous. It's a goddammed war. The concept of offering a stipend after killing someone is ridiculous.

No, it isn't a war. It is an imperial occupation. And the compensation being paid is for the death of innocent civilians, not soldiers.
The proper concern of society is the preservation of individual freedom; the proper concern of the individual is the harmony of society.

One day American's will wake up and understand we are just the military wing of London's Monetary Empire. Wallstreet has been, and always will be an extension of London's control over our government and economy. We're a mere Vassal to the same Imperial body of money that we declared independence from...the Irony...

Well our actions can't be. Barack does have a brain but doesn't think in a non-interventionist way and neither does his sponsers.

    All roads lead to Rothschild.
Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

I couldn't believe it... but watching the speeches of David Cameron this week, who spoke about state sponsored assassinations and kill successes around the world of government leaders and citizenry, @ this past week's White House State Dinner, reaffirms what is going on between the US & UK.

Even the intentional ignited applause for murder, destruction, mayhem during pauses at the Black Tie event... man, what a snapshot of our government so-called leaders.

So how come the Afghans haven't had the guts to demand more compensation or kick the invaders out of their country if their lives are worth so little?

Why would the Afghans value the lives of dead Afghans more than we? How much are the lives of the USA's inner-city youth valued here? Who demands compensation for them or that the wars on work and trade end? Americans are not acting in the interest of Americans. I expect no different from the Afghans.
