Default Virginia Legislature passes NDAA nullification bill; Governor threatens veto

Hopefully, if the governor does veto this, his veto can be overturned. Passage of this bill illustrates the importance of electing good people at all levels of government.

Governor McDonnell has been mentioned as a top possible VP pick for Romney, if he gets the nomination. This bill puts McDonnell in a difficult position. It passed the legislature overwhelmingly due to strong bipartisan public support. A veto may make him too unpopular in Virginia to be a good VP pick.

However, I'm sure the people he does actually work for want a veto, so that's probably what he will do.
