me neither however, lets not forget that america is OBSESSED with celebrities, and for some reason always look to them for advice.

not everyone, but alot of them.

I'm hoping for Greenday. They're anti-war libertarians, so it would seem a natural fit.
Pledge to buy Dr Paul's upcoming book (and read the preface!):

No way, not gonna happen. They're way too mainstream to get involved in politics. Maybe in 1996 it would have worked.

I saw something on TV the other day about how the lead singer did some interview and in it he talked about how he hates Bush, but likes Obama and Bill Clinton. Sorta speaks for itself.

Nah, lots of artists are political these days...Green Day would actually seem like good candidates and linkin park have have gone a bit political lately as well from the looks of their new video which seems very anti-war. I wonder is there a way to get a hold of them or their manager? Anyone know or want to try? But what about actors etc? Anyone think of any good ones lol

Clint Eastwood. He's a libertarian. I dare anyone to tell that guy he's weak because he opposes interventionism or nation-building (at least I hope he does).

Kurt Russell is also a libertarian.

Jesse Ventura would be a cool endorsement that I could see happening, since he leans libertarian. Maybe Donald Trump.

I think Bruce Willis and Gary Sinise are Republican or conservative, and if they're also anti-war Paul seems like their guy.

    YES!! send letters to everyone...

I really wonder about linkin park because there videos are always extremely popular on youtube. Their latest song released a short time ago is already one of the top most viewed of all time. If we got them that would be something incredible.

Avril Lavigne could be good. She collaborated with Linkin Park.

What about John Mayor? He is a Ron Paul fan isn't he? He should endorse him in public sometime.

celebs can express their opinion but most of the time it is dumb and I don't care at all
    No one reads signatures.

We should try getting in contact with some of them.

I hope John Popper is supporting Ron Paul. John's known to be a free market, freedom type of guy. Blues Traveler doesn't carry as much weight in the jamband community as they used to, but they can still rip some pretty mean jams....

Maynard from tool has done some anti-war songs recently and HATES censorship. He seems to be very well spoken and rather free thinking but also does not care too much for the spotlight.

Can't believe no one mentioned these guys:

    Rage Against the Machine
    http://www.ratm.com/new2/freedom/main.html
Rage has this Freedom Fighter of the Month promo on their site. Maybe we can influence them to have a Freedom Fighter of the Constitution promo too.

    Foo Fighters
    http://www.foofighters.com/community
Foo Fighters were essentially Democrat and inspired by Dean, but the PAC they associated with "fights against the influence of the far right-wing and their radical, divisive policies and the selfish special interests that for too long have dominated our politics."

Sounds like these guys may be inspired by Dr Paul as well.

What you need to do is look into local celebrities in the early states. Time to do some cultural research.

Most celebrities are by default liberals. I think this has something to do with the fact they are rich. Unlike greedy Rockefeller types they didn't earn their money through ruthless capitalism, they just happened to star in a good movie and get paid a $#@!load of money for it. So, they feel like they don't deserve the money they have. Being a liberal and saying they love the poor and welfare is their way of giving back. They believe they are helping. It makes them feel good.

That being said. This won't surprise any of you: http://www.newsmeat.com/celebrity_political_donations/
that site has a list of all donations giving by celebrities to political candidates. It's very disappointing to see many actors, and writers I respect donate to Hillary Clinton. And notice: most celebrities that aren't liberal are nashville poppers or NASCAR drivers. Ugh. And this is interesting: why are all gameshow hosts republicans?

My personal favorite band has made songs about our current war situation. i don't know if they endorse ron paul. but here are the lyrics to a song called
"prophets of war" by Dream Theater from the systematic Chaos album.

It burns deep down inside of me
    We have ourselves to blame
Not questioning, accepted as the truth

Debate this fight its just cause
The facts do not supports theirs
    To liberate a people
And rid them of tyrant rule

Is it time to make a change
    Are we closer than before
Can we help them break away
    Are we profiting from war
It's time to make a change

    Intrigued
    Got your attention - Deceived
Since the inception - Our brave
    Fight for what reason

    Compelled
Can we clean up this mess
    The loss of loved ones
    A perverse request
    They continue the same rhetoric
    These derelicts that profit
    Win or lose

Is it time to make a change
    Are we closer than before
Can we help them break away
    Are we profiting from war
It's time to make a change

    Time for change
    Fight the fear
    Find the truth
    Time for change

    The only thing
    That I believe
Will help us see this through is faith
    Pray they will forgive
    Forgive our arrogance
So we can make it right
    Right what they have wronged

    See you sweat
    Unexpected, controversial
    Get used to it
    Things are gonna get personal
    Your sympathy
    A pitiful display you stutter
    Your empathy
Means nothing if there is no honor
    Responsible
    Of this you are incapable
    We implicate
Incriminate - Exacerbate - Too much at stake

    Our Fathers, Mothers
    Sisters, Brothers
    Sons and Daughters
    Forced
    Perpetuating their ideals
    A mindless act
    To stay the course

Is it time to make a change
    Are we closer than before
Can we help them break away
    Are we profiting from war

Is it time to make a change
    Are we closer than before
Can we help them break away
    Are we profiting from war
Is it time to make a change
A change from what it's been
Can we help them break away
    Is our patience wearing thin
It's time to make a change

    Time for change
    Fight the fear
    Find the truth
    Time for change
