Because they don't do that to themselves sometimes?

It's only half tongue in cheek the reason that Rockwell, Woods and the rest of the LVMI guys call it "Stato".

    I'm with Anti-Fed.

Fuck Tucker Carlson and any other asshole calling for a first strike or annihilation of Iran.

There's really two problems to deal with here, that Carlson thinks an aggressive posture toward Iran is a good idea, and that he thinks the govt should foot the bill.

That he wants to pass the buck and the personal culpability for his warmongering is worse than the warmongering itself. Let him spread the idea that sanctions and blockades and wars are good things - but only if he accepts personal responsibility for the costs of doing the harms he causes. The govt is supposed to be there (if at all) to protect us from having to deal with these crazy tyrants. But he and all the others want to use it to excuse the actions that they wouldn't have the balls to even think about doing as an individual in the public eye.

This is somewhat surprising since Tucker was actually a big critic of the war in Iraq. His views don't seem to be consistent.

I finally listened to the clip. I agree that Tucker Carlson is a prick. But the two sentences are worth noting. "I do think we need to look at the price of energy if that would happen. I don't think that's a small factor. It would tank our economy". I have been talking to a lot of people liberal and conservative, republican and democrat who've jumped on the "Destroy Iran" bandwaggon. And the only fact they seem willing to listen do is the "It will destroy our economy" argument. Something to think about.

He'll be against the Iran war after a year too.

    Flashback time:

"I think [the Iraq war] is a total nightmare and disaster, and I’m ashamed that I went against my own instincts in supporting it. It’s something I’ll never do again. Never. I got convinced by a friend of mine who’s smarter than I am, and I shouldn’t have done that. No. I want things to work out, but I’m enraged by it, actually."

    No doubt.

I have shut down a couple of the "glass parking lot" crowd by simply saying that you'll be paying $10 a gallon for gas, if you can even get it.
