    Time is running out

"We fear that such incursions into national sovereignty will only accelerate... until they are finally halted, very violently, and very tragically."

The NWO/Socialist/Communist/Fascist globalists have FINISHED setting the trap. IT'S DONE. The framework, social, legal, monetary...is all complete.

    The boot is now descending.

You have very, very little time to get your houses in order. Get your food, silver, guns, water.

Information, logic, data, news, reason...all of this aside...

I feel it in my bones.

    The time is NOW.

    You've been warned.

I feel this as well and am putting my cards in order. In the future I may offer sanctuary to those that need it....

Yeah, I don't see any alternative but the worst possible case scenario at this point. Things are already horrifically bad, and they're going to get so much worse.

Walked through a Safeway today, and had nothing but the most gut-wrenching feeling. Nightmarishly surreal, knowing that soon, in the not too distant future, all the shelves will be empty, the store in complete shambles.

Yes, the time is now. The storm is already on our doorsteps.

  7. #6
How long do you we have and what will be the first signs of something like empty shelves happening?

We're already seeing it, like frogs-in-a-boiling-pot, as we already have signs of mild hyperinflation for food alone. The price of everything is up dramatically in a very short period of time. With any increase in velocity, it will become more obvious to everyone that prices will continue to increase substantially - first from month to month, then week to week, more people will buy earlier, knowing they need to stock up while prices are down, even as more producers will want to delay delivery, given they will know they can sell later at a higher price. Eventually those two will decouple, as demand eventually (and very quickly once it happens) outstrips supply, and the spiral takes hold, as sellers have to tack on even more to prices to compensate (knowing that they can, since everyone else is).

Then it's the same old, tired story, as history repeats itself. Obama comes out condemning "profiteers" (rather than loss-avoidanceers), as Congress and/or the President, in their infinite wisdom try their hand a new-fangled thing called price fixing/capping (probably called something else, to make it sound like a panacea that's never been tried). That will blow up in everyone's faces, of course, as sellers realize that they need to make their price increase jumps even greater to begin with, to hedge. Eventually core sources dry up completely, as it is in everyone's interest to pull back supply, as long as prices are increasing.

    Exactly.

The velocity of money right now is VERY slow. If food and energy prices are going up this much with such low money velocity - holy smokes it's going to get outta hand once velocity increases.

My electric bill usually runs between $80 and $130. This month it was $243 with no increase of usage. Luckily we had tax money to cushion that blow, but I know many others didn't.

Mine was substantially more than usual as well - not as much as yours in terms of cost jump. But it was a lot.

George Hemminger would have enjoyed the thread. He was point out stores closed and made it sound like the whole world was boarded up. And who was that other guy- Reinhardt every body seemed so enamored of and his Economic Collapse predictions? (For those who don't know the second name, he has a site called Enterprise Corruption http://www.enterprisecorruption.com/ where he claimed that some Papal group Legatus was trashing the world so they could take it over- markets were supposed to drop every time they met). Reinhard got lucky once in calling a market crash and people thought he could predict everything.

A lot. I mean a lot of stores boarded up and for lease signs are up in empty buildings where I live. Many of the big retailers are bankrupt too.

No, everything's fine. The trillions being thrown around won't have any consequences on us. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a 'kook.' Turn on the TV or go to the mall and buy some Chinese slave-made crap and everything will be a-ok!

And I was told we have a diversified economy here in the Twin Cities of MN. I need to move to where Zippy lives.

I need to look at the "right" charts.

Yeah, it's very sad that the imperial arrogance persists even here. Some $#@!s are just too cowardly to admit the truth and will believe 'everything is going to be fine' to the bitter end.

Things can always be worse. I've seen better and I've seen worse. Billions don't have it as good as we do. If you are one of the 99%-ers in the USA you are still in the 1% of the rest of the world.

True. I think collapse is inevitable personally, but sometimes I do wonder if the endless wars will create enough GDP to keep up this debt scheme that some Americans call an economy propped up for a long while. I guess we'll see.

No, no. It's not, Apocalyse, End of Time $#@!.

It's a simple matter of fundemental change in markets, government, societal structure - along with the choppy tides that come with it.

If you are ready for the choppy tides, you'll be much better off.

It's those who are not ready who will suffer the most.

^ This. Although the fundamentals governing this particular tide are unprecedented in human history. However and wherever it affects us in the U.S, to most of the world it will be a tsunami, the magnitude of which I can't wrap my head around. That may sound like apocalyptic end of time $#@!, but it really is just an observation based on facts.

There is one thing that can prevent it, though: All we have to do is expand. Forever. It's all designed around a requirement for perpetual infinite growth only - not sustainability.

If you believe, as I do, that foreigners will abandon the dollar before Americans do, then you'll know it's happening when the trade deficit turns to a trade surplus. I have no idea when that will happen, but I am guessing before the end of the decade.

It won't last as long as many think, though. The trucks may stop running for a few weeks, but the trucks aren't going to disappear. The buildings will still be there, and the electric lines, and roads, and computers, and so forth. American's standard of living will be lower, afterwards, but still much higher than in the third world.

I pretty much already determined to live a nomadic life in a few years anyway once my daughter is older if it comes sooner than later, oh well. I am a survivor I am low maintenance I easily adapt and am durably built. I rather look forward to the end of civilization and a return to a more natural state of hunter /gatherers
