I hope the rumor spreads because it's good for Rand's name recognition. But I hope he's not the actual VP pick.
Ron Paul clarified it on his Facebook page about 20min ago.

Just a thought, is there any chance of trying to get Rand Paul validated as a VP nominee by the establishment so when and if Ron Paul selects his son as his running mate, they won't be able to discredit him.....
Rand does not want to be Ron's VP. They've both said it would be weird. Rand said his first preference is an adviser in Ron's admin.
