The obvious importance of debates
It has become apparent that debates are mandatory. They allow candidates to put themselves out there without media control, manipulation and spin (other than debate moderation).
After several weeks with no debates, the media had full control to spin it as they wanted, especially the neo-conservative hosts. It showed how they can slowly grind and brainwash the masses. They would have had Santorum cruising to the nomination if it wasn't for this debate.
