MS 2012 Caucuses & Conventions Instructions & Procedures from GOP

Please note: precincts in MS are open to Democrat voters as well as Republican voters

Don't wear political t-shirts if you plan to vote! ----------- Wearing T-Shirts
It is the position of the Secretary of State that the wearing of a T-shirt with a candidate’s name and/or picture on it within one hundred and fifty (150) feet of any entrance to a building in which an election is being conducted constitutes the posting of campaign literature and is prohibited. Such T-shirts must be covered or removed before a voter comes within one hundred and fifty (150) feet of any entrance to a building in which an election is being conducted. (Miss. Code Ann. § 23-15-895)

Great I live in Lauderdale so I have 8 chances to be choosen as a state delegate. If everyone gets one vote at the county convention then how does anyone win? Everyone will just vote for themselves. I thought about getting a friend or two to try to win in their precinct so they could come and vote for me at the county convention.
I am more and more convinced that man is a dangerous creature and that power, whether vested in many or a few, is ever grasping, and like the grave, cries, 'Give, give.'

Your on the right track Legend. Only instead of just getting a friend or two to the county convention, the plan is to get a majority of Ron Paul supporters @ the county convention. Then by being organized and knowing ahead who to vote for, filling all 8 of Lauderdale county's delegates with Ron Paul people.

Wether or not people are able to win counties depends on how organized that county's supporters are. This is the role of the county coordinator. To lead and coordinate the effort to identify and mobilize as many supporters as possible for April 28th.

Getting a handful of your friends at your precinct will almost assuredly win us a delegate to your county. But doing this at only a few precincts and getting a handful of Ron Paul supporters @ the county unfortunately will probably not be enough to send our people to state. That is why its important that we organize starting now. We need majorities @ the Counties!

Your off to a great start if you have a few friends who are willing to be delegates! Make sure they are registered voters. Then you and your friends start doing everything you can to find other supporters in different parts of Lauderdale Co.

I honestly believe we have enough true supporters to win the delegates. The other candidates have some soft supporters, they will not participate. We have the true supporters who believe in the message. We just have to start busting it to identify them and explain them how the process works so they will turn out April 28th.

I just got some information yesterday to help me try and get Ron Paul supporters to turn out in Tate County.

    We'll see how it goes...

GL! It's been a pain where I'm at. Very hard to identify voters.
