Thread: What if the Government Gets rid of Paper Money and Coins?

Default What if the Government Gets rid of Paper Money and Coins?

I have been thinking that the Government someday will decide to get rid of Cash and coins all together and instead go to plastic cards like debit. Thus they can track our every move. They can eliminate the threat of counterfit money. They can make it harder for the criminals since they wont be able to use cash. It will make it harder to not report all income to IRS. The government would save money by not printing money or making coins. I can see this sooner or later being a probable future.

Let's discuss the possible issues that could arise if the government goes full digital money someday. I am sure there could be many.

I, like almost everyone else, would trade on the black market for anything I didn't want them to know about. Unless they were going to station troops outside of every house to make sure that doesn't happen. In which case, I think the economic consequences would be the least of our worries.

They won't do it. It would immediately resurrect competing currencies. As long as dollars can be used anonymously through cash, there will remain a strong worldwide market for dollars. If that changes, PMs will make a huge comeback, as will foreign currencies that still use cash. Look to the British pound, Chinese Yuan, Russian Ruble, and Swiss Franc to become dominant.

They will never do it since so many of TPTB make money off the drug war in one way or another.

so in the cashless society you need to give charities your credit card details instead of just chucking a quarter their way?

The end of money is coming. When? That I don't know. It cold be soon if a serious collapse occurs or decades down the road.

But this I know for sure - the powers to be want to be able to have as much control as possible - Patriot Act, NDAA, Gun Control, Taxation, Banking System/Rules, SS, Medicare, Medicaid, Public Schools, Agenda 21, Monsanto, Cap and Trade tax schemes, and every other freaking thing government wants to control in some form or fashion.

Just remember, it's all for the better good of humanity and the earth (sarcasm).

The planet can only hold 300 million people according to Ted Turner and his sick twisted ilk. The rest must DIE. So having a non money society would come in handy for those anti-human Socialist, Marxist and Commie NWO f'tards.

Be responsible. Take care of yourself. Don't tread on other people. Slow down. Question everything. Start now.

We are all born libertarians then something goes really wrong. Despite this truth, most people are still libertarians yet not know it.

the black market would make electronic currency very highly unlikely since the black market supports wall street an the CIA.

Default Separation of money and state will liberate.

It is up to the liberty movement to make sure that government gets rid of irredeemable paper currency and tokens.

That's our job. Sound money, fully redeemable, is what all of us who believe in freedom must work diligently toward.

As with all conspiracy theories, the weight of the evidence is what always matters most.

In the case of the "cashless society" theory, there is one metric that weighs heavily enough to tilt the scales regardless of all other metrics against it...

As long as drugs are illegal, "they" will control the illegal profits. Once "they" get rid of cash, they simultaneously destroy illegal drug sales.

Otherwise, we'd already have a cashless society and no one would complain to a hill of beans. Consumers don't give a fuck by what means they can consume.

So, it follows that cash will exist as long as drugs are illegal.

that'll be the cashless mark of the beast society!! That's why we need to print more money, mint more coins, and reject credit cards while we still can. Going back to the gold standard is a good goal, but it's not happening anytime soon, the choice is still in YOUR HANDS.
