Dave mustaine walks back Santorum endorsement

    ROFL:

"Contrary to how some people have interpreted my words, I have not endorsed any presidential candidate," the rocker said in the release, obtained by Billboard.com. "What I did say was that I hope to see a Republican in the White House. I've seen good qualities in all the candidates but by no means have made my choice yet. I respect the fact that Santorum took time off from his campaign to be with his sick daughter, but I never used the word 'endorse.'"

Maybe he actually looked into Santorum's positions.

Maybe his record label warned him.

Oh well. I was at least hoping for Santorum to talk about it publicly and be embarrassed.

Saying that 'he was the guy he felt fit to be in the white house/be president' and then say that 'Ron says good stuff blah blah but then says things that make him seem 'fringe' is pretty much a friggin endorsement, and also taking a cheap shot on Ron at the same time, sounding like some hack on FoX.

And i really dont get his nut-riding over Rick going home to see his daughter. This is something any parent should be doing, whether their child has a unique condition or not. If my child was 'normal' and came down with a bad flu bug and need medical treatment, id be with them all the same. It should be a normal reaction for any parent, yet Dave sees it as some stellar deed that's never been done before.

All Dave has proved is that he has no idea wtf he is talking about, and obviously hasn't dissected any of the candidates enough to know where they stand, therefore, doesnt know where HE really stands either, hence is quasi-backpedaling response here.

Celeb endorsements are usually so half ass, where they only do it mostly to promote themselves, rather than the candidate or because they actually give a $#@!.

Let's write to Lady Gaga or Justin Bieber to ask for their endorsements =P... Even if they are liberals, ask if they were conservatives.. who would they endorse?

I'm a moderator, and I'm glad to help. But I'm an individual -- my words come from me. Any idiocy within should reflect on me, not Ron Paul, and not Ron Paul Forums.

I think that it is bad policy to take political advice from entertainers. The masses are asses, however.

Lady Gaga has done a few fundraisers for Obama, unfortunately. She went goo goo when he got rid of DADT. She has disappointed me.

It's true, he never technically said it. People just got all crazy. I'm glad he backed away, because (and this is based solely on his career) he'll probably find on further platform inspection that Ron Paul is his guy.
