Why can't we win these?

These are all OPEN Primaries/Caucus's with I believe, low turnout, - we could bust this out with twitter/facebook targetting and other social media avenues.

If we pick some of these up, it could be awesome. I know we are down in Virgina (from Romney), but again - OPEN, we just need the GOTV.

Alaska, North Dakota and Washington are caucus states, not primaries...

Ohio will be tough though... We got like 5% there in 2008.

We got 5% because McCain had pretty much won the nomination, and Huckabee was the only real contender at that point.

Also, Ohio turnout in 2008 was hardly a low turnout. McCain had 600,000+ votes to my knowledge. I Believe Mike had 300k+ and Paul had 50k.

He NEEDS to visit Ohio State, University of Akron, and Kent State. That's 100,000 students that he can cover in two days, maybe even one day if he starts early enough.

Agreed, Ron Paul needs to do a whirlwind tour of Ohio colleges and, at those events, get the kids' contact info, so they could be contacted for GOTV!!

I honestly have no idea how Ohio is looking. Most people here don't care about any candidate, they either just say, 'all those guys are crazy' or 'any of them are better than Obama.'

That's how it is here in Seattle. Except they are all Democrats. Everyone still thinks he is a racist pacifist though. I schooled someone at the bar with a truth-bomb about military donations, maybe I can work more on him.

Yeah. I think even the RCP Average goes along with what I'm saying. Newt, Rick, and Mitt are all 20-26% and Paul is at 10%. Nobody has a clear idea of who they want, and 22% is still undecided. If it stays like that, people won't show up. Which is why Paul MUST convince the young to get out and vote. He has to make them understand their entire education will be a complete waste if they don't help restore our country.

Speculating which state could be best for us is still difficult. If we could win a state (like Maine) it would impact the polling/chances we have differently for different states, although it would help us everywhere. Washington will be close and we need to work hard to win that one - it's the lone contest just before Super Tuesday, so a bump on that day would be very helpful. For Super Tuesday, we can do well in Idaho, ND, Alaska, (caucuses) and perhaps Vermont, Virginia and Tennessee (open primaries).
