Thread: Paul called Romney to congratulate him again

Paul called Romney to congratulate him again

In his New Hampshire victory speech, Paul mentioned he called Mitt Romney to congratulate him.

In this politico article, it says he did so again last night.

Maybe other campaigns are doing this too and I'm not hearing of it? Otherwise, it's interesting for the Paul camp to be doing this. I wonder what the motivation is. I don't think the two campaigns are teamed up in any way, of course, but they sure do seem to get along well.

This is a common practice and happens in every campaign. Traditionally on election night the loser always calls the winner to congratulate.

Good ol' Paul is slowly but surely converting him!

Just a matter if time before he endorse Ron Paul!

Does anyone know if he called Gingrich after SC?

I saw last night that Gingrich didn't call Romney or mention him in his 2nd-place-speech and the news actually made a big deal about him not acknowledging Romney. This sounds like something you just have to do.

I don't know about after SC.

I heard this morning on CBS that Gingrich has never called Romney to congratulate him. Romney made sure to tell them that Paul and Santorum have called him after every contest that he has won, and that he called and congratulated Newt when he won SC. Newt is a crybaby and sore loser.

It's called character. Being polite and a good sport.

It's called manners, uncommon to many, normal in the era Ron Paul grew up in.
Proudly in favor of firing Jesse Benton since 2007. Here's a 2008 classic post.

I pretty much think this thing between Romney and Gingrich is all just a play. They pretty much agree on everything. But, it serves to keep people distracted while TPTB finish driving our country off a cliff.

In reply to the point about manners, I agree. It's the right thing to do. I just wonder if he did it for Gingrich, and why he didn't mention it like he does for Romney.

You should always ask who is conducting the poll before giving them data for their database.
