Don't donate a penny, that'll just let him boast about getting "small donors" because it will increase the total number of donors and decrease the average donation amount. He'll probably get a bunch of GOP bundlers to get $2,500-clubbers to donate, so a bunch of penny-donors will drag that down significantly.

I have had, and will continue to have, many strong disagreements with Congressman Paul during the campaign, but I believe he has made an important contribution in the field of monetary reform. While I am not presently committed to any one version of reform, if elected I will be eager to work with Lew Lehrman and Jim Grant in achieving a dollar that once again can hold its purchasing power for many decades to come.

In a way I think it would be funny if he got spammed with 1 cent donations.
But the point people are making is that it will lower the amount of the average contribution allowing them claim "grassroots" support.
Hence I wont donate.But I still like the idea.

I just saw on his site he wants to appoint Jim Grant on some new gold commission... Gee.. Jim Grant was the same economist ron paul suggested should head the fed.
