Friends & Patriots,
Ron Paul needs your help this weekend. A downtown Spartanburg call center on N.Church St. is going to allow us to come in Saturday & Sunday to call GOP voters. Please call Dennis at 864-266-1413 or email dennisvan@bellsouth.net to set up a time. Hours are flexible. We can go in Saturday from 10AM-4PM or Sunday from noon-4PM. Brian Gentry (briang@ronpaul2012.com), Nicole Quinn (femalesforfreedom@yahoo.com) or myself can get you a PDF phone list of a Spartanburg precinct. We'll still do the Sign Wave at Westgate Mall Saturday at 1PM, but phonebanking is more important. He has 20 desks available. If we want Ron Paul to do well in SC, we really need to do this.
There's no set script, but here's what's worked best for me: Identify yourself & tell them you're calling them to remind them of the upcoming SCGOP Primary on Saturday, Jan.21 7AM-7PM... then ask if they've decided on a candidate yet. 90% say they're undecided. Ask them to go to ronpaul2012.com & look at Ron Paul's Restore America Plan. Tell them Ron Paul has a plan to cut $1 trillion from the federal budget in 1 year, balance the budget in 3 years, and that Ron Paul gets more donations from active military than all the other republican candidates combined. Remind them again to go to RonPaul2012.com and help us Restore America. Thank them for their time, hang up. A few will tell you they won't vote for Ron because of his foreign policy, his age, etc. I always tell them about Ron challenging the rest of the candidates to a bike ride in 100 mile Houston heat when they talk about his age. If you're comfortable, take a little time to ease their mind about foreign policy, but don't get stuck in a full-fledged debate... we don't have time for that. Move on to the next voter. Don't argue, don't bash other candidates. This isn't set in stone, it's just what's worked best for me.
Thanks for all you do,
Robbie W.Bowen
