This will be more delegates we would earn than wasting time in south carolina for a distant 3rd or 4th place for ZERO delegates and hundred of thousands of dollars

  6. #5
Yes all territories add up to 61 delegates I think. In 2008 only 208 people voted in Puerto Rico. 24 delegates there, winner take all.

Well I think this can be won fairly easily and in terms of delegate bang for the buck you are correct. However, we need momentum and a good showing in SC to avoid being written off.

Only 9 people voted for McCain in 2008 and he won the delegates. Why not spend the 6 figure ad buy we are flooding SC with and use it to flood the territories and get 100 people to vote for us in each of those caucuses?

  13. #11
I think phone from home may be the way to go for these places. Unless we already have organizations in place, there's no better way to reach people. TV ads would be good if we had to get 10,000 people to the polls but if we're talking a few hundred then it should just be a question of finding the Paul supporters already there (there must be some, internet is worldwide) and mobilizing and informing them.
And if the campaign *is* going to do that I wouldn't expect them to publicize it until after the fact.

  14. #12
We should work hard to win the territories. Only 208 in 2008? We can get ALL 24....

We should be picking our battles.
Beware of these Obama supporters: ProBlue33, newbitech, libertarian4321, Kade, Electronicmajji, SeanEdwards,

America Samoa was devastated by the federally imposed minimum wage. Ron Paul would definitely try to remove that to help them.

  16. #14
Yeah phone from home would be good. Anybody from rp2012.org still around. The grass roots coul take care of this. All you people up at 3am could be making calls.

  17. #15
i sent an email to Doug Wead, hopefully he will discuss with jesse benton on a strategy to win Samoa

  18. #16
I think the grassroots and RevPac could take care of these territories. The campaign should really put something into Puerto Rico, but we can handle the others. Do you we know anyone in these places that could pass out literature if we send it to them? Maybe we could raise some money and get RevPac to do some radio and TV ads? The campaign doesn't have unlimited money like the other candidates do. They need to focus on the states. Let's come up with ideas to help them instead of waiting for the campaign to do something about it.

working on finding the list of voters in those areas. if we can get at least 5-10 people to show up and vote Ron Paul we would win!!

  21. #18
I got an email back from Doug Wead in response to my email aboutmaking a play for the U.S Territories. He said he forwarded all info to the top of the campaign, I assume (Jesse Benton). Based on his response I don't believe the campaign ever had plans to contest the u.s territories & puerto rico. Maybe this might sway them to do so.

IF we can get RevPac to create a "For the Territories" drive and create some Radio and a T.V ad for them.. that might be good.

  24. #21
What do you want us to do? Post articles? Just discuss him in comments? Post his economic plan?

Damn there has to be some RP supporters in Samoa and P.R.

Do we not have even ONE? on RPF?

Edit: Just looked at meetup.com and there were no RP groups from Samoa and P.R.

    BUT

I found Facebook has almost 300 likes on Puerto Rico for Ron Paul 2012, we gotta make sure these guys have the tools they need to win this. But they have not updated the page since 1/2/12

Looks like there are 171 likes and 12 "talking about this" there - and most of the stuff is from RPF! This could be nine easy delegates for Dr. Paul right here.

I'd say 170 out of those 171 facebook likes are not from American Samoa.
