We need to know who we are voting for on primary day because voting for Ron Paul in the primary alone does not net him any delegates at all.

I searched around for signature deadlines and other info. But i am not finding it anywhere

If anyone has this info i will edit to OP to show it.

toady i made my 1000th post btw!

The signature forms to get on the ballot don't even come out until the 27th of this month.

Here's where you get them when they are released.

You have until Feb 14th to get the signatures and get the forms to Harrisburg.

I'm going to run in the 17th district

thanks, i wonder if the campaign will get in touch with people to run and have an official list? because wouldn't having more than 3-4 on a ballot start to dilute our vote?

Does anyone know who is coordinating this effort statewide? I ran last time and would like to again, but I'm no longer in touch with any of the meetups.

I think in some districts it's best to run as many as possible. In areas where there are no recognizable names running for delegate, typically the 3 people that appear first on the ballot win. Ballot position is determined by a lottery, so the more people we have in the lottery the better our chances are. And yes - I guess you could conclude that the entirety of PA's delegate selection comes down to collecting 300 signatures and then winning a lottery with others who have also collected that many.

One other question: Does anyone know of any companies in the state that do petitioning and signature collecting? I'd honestly rather pay someone to get my signatures than do it myself.

No idea. I signed up on the official campaign site to be a delegate and haven't heard anything.

We have a new meetup in my area that I signed up for. I think they are waving signs today, which is great, but I usually try to do stuff that is more productive, like be a delegate.

last time around i remember a local meetup set a day where they went to a donut shop and let everyone know when to be there that wanted to sign the petitions.

So you are saying get as many as possible on the ballot. Then go by the lottery to determine who everyone is voting for? that sounds like a good idea. An example of this would be if RP delegates were selected to be 2nd 3rd 5th 7th on the ballot we would all know to only vote for 2,3,5 as they would be more likely to get random votes and not dilute our voting block.

I've hear people will vote for somebody with a "republican sounding" name.

You can get a GOP voter list from the state for door to door or I've heard standing outside the post office on a saturday is a good way to get signatures.

I'm in... Let's make sure we get as many as possible!
