The Ken Sorenson episode killed RP's momentum imo. Can't figure out why he did what he did right before the vote. Made no sense at all.
Caused unnecessary distraction for a week. It was a big negative.

It was unfortunately I don't want to rip on Sorenson for doing what he thought might help but Bachmann's harpie-like attitude in making slanderous accusations basically wrecked whatever bounce we could have gotten from it. The reason, I suspect, for this was in an atmosphere of all-out attack on Paul, making a he said-she said charge like this just added to the negativity and probably drew away soft voters for Paul towards Santorum. And maybe it was by design.

Fine then. When she runs for re-election next year she will have no help from Paul supporters in basically accusing Paul of offering a bribe. This tragicomic bid for the White House has basically wrecked her political standing at home and she'll have no one to count on in the fall.

Minnesota now basically open to us.

Ron Paul was leading in first place. Taking the Sorenson endorsement was a really bad idea, because the split hardcore social conservative vote went from Bachmann to Santorum.

I think that they were also looking for the next anti-Romney candidate. All that was left was Santorum and Paul. They ran to Santorum after fleeing, Pawlenty, Cain, Perry and Bachmann.
