2012 is just around the corner!

As we fight the GOP and we fight the powers that be in the Repubican for respect, air time and an equal footing it is time to think for just a minute about 2012. As many of us dislike much of Faux News because of bias pandering to the party leaders, we have to fight this by beating them at their own game.

This battle for Dr Paul would be so much easier if we had allies higher up in the party. We need to have people on the inside fighting for us.

This is a long term fight (I am starting to sound like King George the W here, but bear with me...) and many of us will not be in for the long term. We need to get involved with the party, we need to build alliances, we need to dig ourselves in and gain power. The Republican party is designed to flex with the times, and current popular issues. Over the last few years, the issues the party has concentrated on has been gravitated toward the goals of the religious right. You can pinpoint a date: 1/22/73. That is the day that the religious right began their quest to overtake the GOP.

These people weren't even all Republicans, many were and are in the party, and vote purely for one or two issues. We call many of these people RINOs. Socialists who came to the GOP because of abortion, homosexuality, ect...Personally, I believe this is part of the reason the party has lost it's way.

There is a fix. Sit back and think of how enthused you are to back Dr. Paul. How much we need to fix the federal reserve system, end the war, and get our bill of rights back.
Fast forward 4 years, will you still be ready to fight for these issues? I know I will.
We need to BE THE MACHINE. The Ron Paul Right

There are one of two ways this election will end:
Ron Paul Loses: If this scenario becomes reality (there is a long road to haul and let's face it - it is possible) we need to come right back in 2 years to ensure Dr Paul gets re-elected and the Ron Paul Right has other members in congress, state leadership and GOP leadership. This is not the last election (I hope) , and in 2012 we have a candidate with a voting record in congress or as a governor that we can put in the White House. If Dr Paul runs again in 2012, we need a party that supports his run.
The 60,000+ of us is a HUGE block. We have momentum even in an "incomplete success". We MUST keep it going.

Ron Paul Wins: He will automatically get some support in congress because many flip-floppers will flip flop to follow the popular vote, most will not. Having a plan to get the Congress behind Dr Paul is essential. As President he can only effect policy while in office. Control of Congress and the White House can change things for a much longer term. Dr Paul winning may in itself motivate many of us to become a larger part of the machine.

We are a long way from home, but I want to plant this seed while I can: In December 2008, will you still be coming to this website? Will you still be fighting to fight? Will you still be willing to spend much of your free-time on getting our country back? Will you still love freedom?
The answers to these question need to be "Yes." This is one battle in a long fight that we must win. Please join me in spending the rest of your life fighting to get America back! In 25 years, we need to look back to the election day 2008 as the day the Ron Paul Right took back the GOP and got us back to it's roots.

Personally, I could give a Sh*t about the GOP.
My concern is for America and the party is just a means, a vehicle. If it breaks down it will be left on the side of the road.
If we fail to get Dr.Paul elected I see no hope for 2012, I expect full civil war by that time.
If we win, and Ron Paul is elected, there is hope of restoring the Republic, and more will join him in government. It will mean that we will have to stay vigilant and protect our Freedom.
On the plus side Liberty, Freedom, and Truth won't be considered "kooky" anymore.
Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

Regardless of whether we win our loose we need to keep fighting. But the focus will need to shift from on big national election to a lot of smaller local ones. Frankly I'm not a Republican. I'm now officially an independent. (Well in my there is no party registration needed to vote so technically I'm not officially anything, but you get the point.) Moving forward I'll support the candidate in any election who best supports freedom! I could care less what party label that candidate wears. And I think its this attitude that scares the party establishment more than anything. The thought of democrats jumping ship to vote for the republican when he happens to be the best candidate and vice versa. That's happened in the past but never like this. Ron Paul "breaks the mold".

i think the point is that fighting against laws that keep 3rd parties out is a lot harder than taking over the existing infrastructure. RP used the infrastructure of the party, that's why he has a chance to win.
I'm a moderator, and I'm glad to help. But I'm an individual -- my words come from me. Any idiocy within should reflect on me, not Ron Paul, and not Ron Paul Forums.

The world ended for the Mayans because of their non-enforcement of immigration laws. History will repeat.

Cant ask the Mayans they are already gone. Wasnt the world supposed to end in 2000 with Y2K? Why arent the masses more concerned with a metor hitting the earth than with a war with some third world country? We could actually blow something up and the rest of the world would love us for it!
