Thread: PRIORITY #3: Verify Dr Paul will be on your GOP Primary Ballot!!

What does "signatures pending" mean? Does it mean that they've been turned in and we're waiting to hear back from the verifiers in the Secretary of State's office?

    RP filed in Arizona: http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/story/103753

It means we are waiting for supporters to collect all the signatures required for their state.

Does anybody have anymore info on North Carolina? Do we have to wait for the other states to decide or something?

  5. #94
So far Maine is the only state prior to February 5th still pending.

Of the states on February 5th:

    Alaska (pending)
    Colorado (pending)
    Delaware (pending)
    Minnesota (pending)
    Montana (not confirmed)
    New Jersey (pending)
    North Dakota (pending)

All other states have confirmed Paul is on the ballot. Of these that haven't at least Delaware and New Jersey are probably already certain, just waiting for confirmation.

Also all but Montana, Delaware, and New Jersey are Caucus states. The states on February 5th are crucial because Giuliani is planning most of his strategy around them.

    UPDATE:

Ron Paul on ballot in Wisconsin.

A state panel today officially set the ballot for Wisconsin's Presidential Primary next year.

The 2008 Presidential Preference Committee is made up of legislators and party leaders. They unanimously approved the names of eight Republicans and eight Democrats, who will appear on the February 19th primary ballot.

State GOP Chairman Reince Priebus says it's a strong field for his party. He feels great about their chances in the upcoming races.

Democratic Chairman Joe Wineke says he feels the same way about his party. He says many national polls are showing Democrats with an advantage in many parts of the country.

Appearing on the ballot for Democrats will be Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Chris Dodd, John Edwards, Mike Gravel, Dennis Kucinich, Barack Obama, and Bill Richardson.

Republicans will have Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, Duncan Hunter, John McCain, Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, Tom Tancredo, and Fred Thompson.

I'm looking at the Meetup and it says tomorrow is the deadline and that they're working on a buffer, which I assume means the limit has been passed and they're only looking for some comfort room.

Tomorrow RP will file 20,000 signatures in Virginia (5,000 more than Romney filed and 10,000 more than necessary).

That will likely make him the 2nd Republican to file ahead of the Friday deadline.

For the Dems, only Obama has filed so far.

    Do we have an update?

Did Rhode Island and DC get their ballot access? Which states are as-of-yet unconfirmed.

Here's a link to the e-mail sent by the campaign referenced by Naraku and Pii:

Ron Paul on the Virginia Primary Ballot
Congratulations! On 2:00 PM ET Dec. 17, Ron Paul was certified to be on the ballot for the Republican presidential primary in Virginia.

The Republican Party HQ of Virginia determined that he had enough signatures to be on the ballot. Actually, their staff had to stop counting after the first box of petitions because there were just too many petitions to count.

Thank you to all our volunteers for your hard work in getting Congressman Ron Paul on the ballot. You made this happen!

    Kentucky ballot

Kentucky also has an exception for candidates already on the primary ballot in 20 or more states, which should cover RP.
How can this be verified to make sure? Speaking of Kentucky in particular.

I'm in Maine, under this list: "States with a Caucus (Will either be listed as confirmed or pending)" I have absolutely no idea what this means, and I don't know how to help make sure Ron Paul makes it to the ballot. I've been to my state's election website but I can't make heads or tails of it. Can anyone explain it to me?

    North Carolina

For those of us in NC, I found this link:
    http://www.sboe.state.nc.us/NCSBE/El..._calendar.html

It looks like it's telling us that filing doesn't open until February. Can anyone confirm this? I know our primary isn't until May, but I want to make sure RP is on the ballot.
