Thumbs up Ron Paul revolution rises in Erie

Debra Salorino held up orange beads attached to a round Ron Paul tag.

She and other members of the Ron Paul group said they would find an inexpensive way to make more tags and distribute colorful beads during Mardi Gras.

Her father, Joe Salorino, suggested the group show a downtown presence on St. Patrick's Day, too. They will hand out green beads for that occasion.

The agenda compiled by Joe Salorino moved along: Canvass neighborhoods with door hangers. Drop literature on car windshields in church parking lots. Get signatures on petitions for Paul's candidacy in the April 24 Pennsylvania primary.

Welcome to the Erie branch of the Ron Paul revolution, a dedicated group of grass-roots volunteers who spend their money, time and energy in a bid to get the 12-term Texas congressman from Pittsburgh elected to the White House.

Heh. I noticed they took the community bulletin boards down from at least a couple of the Tops and wondered if it was due to how much Ron Paul literature was covering it.
