What do you mean what's the point? The possibility of a brokered convention is very real and Rand could be our ace in the hole. The masses of Republicans seem to like him a LOT better than Ron even though philosophically they are very similar. I think most of the movement backing Ron would go for Rand under such a scenario.
Defeatist? There's nothing really defeatist about heading into the convention with 1/3 of the delegates. Let's be realistic here.
I think I've peeved some mod with authoritarian leanings.
A brokered convention may be Ron Paul's best chance to win. Rand can run in 2020. He is an eye doctor, after all.
Rand Paul is in the top 1% of US Senators.
